£2.85 for a breakfast roll and coffee at Gregg's.
Can't argue with that.

A flat white is not a coffee.Takeaway I read. Obsession with coffee is getting rather expensive.
The £5 coffee is coming – but should we swallow it?
A large takeaway flat white will already set you back £5.19 in London and other cities aren’t far behind. If cafe owners aren’t getting rich off our caffeine habit, who is?www.theguardian.com
You have a obsession with brightnessAnyone paying £5 for a cup of average coffee can’t be very bright.
I think McDonalds charge £1.20??? Their coffee is worth the shame of stepping into a McDonalds at that price.
No, but you could make it and put it in a flask.I imagine lots of people do that, but you can't carry it around with you all day. You can't plug it in at the museum or whatever.
Indeed. It's not quite the same though if you're after a flat white/cappuccino/latte type drink. No, but you could make it and put it in a flask.
Yes, I agree there's a big difference between paying for the use of a cafe facility, and just paying for a 'coffee' itself. Especially if the cafe isn't busy.I had a Monmouth coffee this morning from Borough Market and it was £4.20. Not sure where that £5.15 flat white was but it wont be from one of the chain coffee retailers. I spent about 40 mins in there and used their wifi and I guess they try to upsell pastries to get av spend up. The way I see it whilst the coffee was not worth £4.20 - no way in fact- the overall experience of being able to lounge in the shop, drink their free lemon water too, use wifi and watch the world go by for 40 mins was well worth £4.20.
Since the October 7th atrocities Starbucks sales in Middle East Region have dropped by 40% due to social media claims (lies) that they are an Israeli supporting company. Have also been attacks on baristas and graffiti on stores.Someone will be along in a minute to tell you Starbucks is worse than the Taliban.
Do enjoy a Gregg's breakfast every now and again...always tea for me....don't do coffee at all....this thread is another reason why I'm glad I can't stand the stuff£2.85 for a breakfast roll and coffee at Gregg's.

I’m sorry, you’ve lost me? That makes no sense. You have a obsession with brightness

Coffee snobbery, it makes a change from beer snobbery.Do enjoy a Gregg's breakfast every now and again...always tea for me....don't do coffee at all....this thread is another reason why I'm glad I can't stand the stuff
That’s very true. And in a lot of cases (not all) it’s often because they’ve read or heard somewhere that that particular one is “good.”Coffee snobbery, it makes a change from beer snobbery.
Taste is personal, when people talk about 'good coffee' they mean pthe one that they like.
Same with music, wine, cheese etcCoffee snobbery, it makes a change from beer snobbery.
