The club needs a new owner.

As you might have guessed Paul I am a huge Gibbo Fan, you have your opinion of him and I have mine.
Our opinions don't have to be the same and I consider the different opinions a big part of the beautiful Game.
Keep on posting and where necessary I'll keep on disagreeing
It's good fun. ;)

I heard it from a reliable ketchup that Jeff Bazos AKA Lex Luther, was interested in buying the club. Apparently he has a thing for rivers even naming his previous company after one. And with our stadium being next to one and even named as such, he just couldn't resist. The conditions where he would change the name of the Tees to the amazon and have the Dorman long tower as his Lexcorp headquarters, unfortunately this is no longer possible so he has pulled the plug on the deal.

New ideas think Gibson done brilliant keeping the club going. Desion making shocking at time's. But need new direction. Since Karanka left its been shocking at times and even the most experienced mangers are struggling with us.
Marks the OP as another troll to ignore.

Who TF would want to buy us and pump millions of their own money in for decades to keep us afloat?

I'd be happy to take over the club. I blessed with superb ideas and I'm a very creative thinker. I couldn't afford to pay the tea lady never mind the players but I think it could be a success.
Stop talking sit like little babies spitting out their dummies. We have a good club that 'is what it is'. It could be better, it could be a lot worse.

I'd far rather have ownership who knew what they hell they were doing, had a strategy and made mostly good decisions to execute that strategy.
I'd rather good decisions and could care less that he once came from Park End.

I'd rather be married to Kylie Minogue but I'll not be leaving the Mrs just in case I should be so lucky.

All you need is money. Money money money. Oh and a dispensation to want to throw it away without a care.

In my view.
Gordon Strachan - Bad decision
Sacking Tony Mowbray - Bad decision
Steve Agnew - Bad decision
Garry Monk - Bad decision
Tony Pulis - Bad decision
Jonathan Woodgate - Bad decision
But he was brave enough to make those decisions.
Like when Gareth Southgate took that penalty and missed.
Yes he got it wrong but nobody can knock the man's character.

Why would we want a big corporate to come in and take the club off us (Wigan)
Those same big businesses who wanted to form a super league.
We need more Steve Gibsons in football.
It would be very bad for football if he left.
He has supported our club at great personal cost.
He has done more for Boro than anyone here because he could and we couldn't.
Win or lose we are all from the Boro and should stick together

This thread has been done to death over the many years I have been on here, comments usually range from the extremes of “I would rather have gibbo than the sheikh at Man City and maintain our locality relying on the academy” to “replace him with anyone”. In truth we will have a new owner at some point as he is in his 60s, be interesting to see who he passes it in to.

I think the appointment of the Director of Football is a huge step in the right direction from Gibson, I am sure Gibbo would openly admit his past mistakes and this appointment in theory should mitigate that risk moving forward, I am sure the net for a new manager has already been cast, hopefully venturing abroad, for a manager who has some technical nous.
