I love one - bread roll, chips, tommy K salt and vinegar.
So far so good.

My son’s partner is French and we were discussing it yesterday.
She just looked at us as tho we were heathens.

’Why would you put chips in bread’?

So, just done the test and, made her one - 2 bites in and it was a firm ‘no’
Good news - more for me

In hindsight - it does sound a bit odd but, that’s shat Ive been brought up on.

Mentioned a crisp sandwich as a halfway house but, its not gonna happen.

I do like the chips in gyros, but never been a fan of them in a bun by themselves.

Crisps in sandwiches definitely work though.

Both are a cardiologists nightmare

They have something in India, I forget what it's called. Mashed potatoe, fried in batter, in a bun with a couple of chutneys.

French food is very similar to English food really. Not quite as good though. Having said that amongst the dozens of people I've lived with over the years the French bloke I lived with was the only one who knew how to cook.

Pav vada that's what it's called.

you missed a trick. calling it a chip butty royale and ...possibly using a baguette , would have piqued a lot more interest
