We look terrible in the short game now. Why didn’t we try some new faces in the batting lineup this summer.
 
Agree, but the last two games the SA bowlers have bowled very well and been on top. Roy must be looking at a bit of a break, he just hasn't got going......this year.
 
Been massive changes with Morgan retiring and a new coach coming in but it feels like a wasted summer with no real plan going forward.

It feels like these are the runt of the England side the reserve b side that Holland series was shocking and just added to this feel.

Salt should’ve opened all summer in both formats with Roy given a rest in some games. Brook should’ve also played more with Duckett given a chance again who‘s a top odi/t20 player. Archer and Wood look like missing the WC so we need pace down under while Gleeson looked good the lad from Derbyshire Scrimshaw (think that’s his name) as real pace and should’ve played. I sure others members will name more players who should’ve had a chance this summer.
 
It does feel like same old same old again Jordan comes in at the end give away countless runs even the commentator all but say we’ll if we can survive his spell.

54 he gave away again today in 4 over at t20.

Over a quarter of their total in 4 overs.
