Some people are just lost to the stupidity of patriotism and conservatism, pointless discussing it with him. As this whole thread has shown the royals are far from harmless, they abuse their position and power and wealth to gain more power and wealth.
we all pay inheritance tax....they don't and it saves them more money than we could ever earn in our lives.
I agree about charitable status, but what would be the logic for richer folk not passing on all their wealth? We do something along those lines at the moment with inheritance tax, but I don't really know the details of that.Just hand the flag over at the gate.
Seriously, we make sure that only a small percentage of any estate above £5 million (figure off the top of my head) is passed to direct descendants, so each son/daughter gets £5m (or their descendants should a direct heir predecease the estate owner) the rest goes to the state. This would break up the huge estates within a few generations whilst hardly condemning the descendants to penury. I'd listen to arguments over the amount. Ten mill? (This to include the Saxe-Coburg Gothas)
Remove charitable status from private schools and prevent private health companies from using any NHS resources. Renationalise all utilities. Water, rail, etc.

who's they boromart, the royal family don't pay inheritance tax, the royals don't pay any tax at all, not really. Of course they should, couldn't argue with that. I want rid of them all. Suckling at the breast of the poor is obscene.
They do pay some income tax, although it has never been clarified if it's the same as us or just a total of £1.00 every year. What I can tell you is that their tax information is in a complete separate system at HMRC, yup, there is actually a separate designed software application for managing the royal tax affairs. It has a pseudonym that disguises it's purpose, only a handful of senior civil servants have access to it, it's configured by those same people, so only a few people even know what tax % they pay, and it's a complete waste of public resources to even run it in this way.

complete silence from all the other papers, no surprise. The only other place you will see any decent coverage will likely be channel 4, because along with the Grauniad they like actually challenge the real corrupt elite (note both were against brexit).
it's propoganda, there is quantifiable or qualified evidence of ANY significant impact on the uk tourism industry from having a sitting royal family
