The queen doesnt want you to know

If they was no such thing as a royal family and someone came up with the idea they would be locked up.
"Hey let's pick a family, call them king and Queen, give them loads of land, castles, money etc, bow and curtsy to them, then do the same with their offspring regardless of merit or belonging to a paedophile ring, for ever and ever , without giving another family a go at being "royal " .
It belongs in the dark ages .

For some reason the Queen owns the land under the sea and BP have just agreed to pay £900million a year to lease the land and build wind farms.

So the Queen/Royal Estate gets £225m for nothing, pays the rest in tax to the Treasury which then filters a big chunk of the money back to the Royal Estate.

Wouldn't it be so much fairer if all of the money went to the Treasury and funded thinks the country needs rather than allowing the Royal Family to just extend there wealth further?

Yeah posted about this last week. Utterly astonishing that they 'own the land under the sea'. The whole lot needs pulling down as I've said earlier and the money distributed fairly. We have food banks, people living homeless on the streets and a monarchy tax avoiding and stealing money left right and centre; has anything really changed in 500 years?

That's incorrect, all profits from the Estates goes to the Treasury.

The only reason of course that they 'own' the land is because they said they own it 500 years ago and threatened to chop the head off of anyone that disagreed.

We need reform, ownership by conquest needs to be removed. Return the land back to the state. Make BP pay that money to the national coffers for the betterment of the people not one solitary greedy, snide, thieving, scumbag of a family.
 
Some interesting points of views and issues raised in this thread but the reality is this..

we have no idea what the queen really owns or how much land she actually has, same with her finances we could guess but the true figure I’d imagine would blow our minds.

the reason for this is no one knows outside the select few and it’s no accident same with the amount of political influence they have it haven’t had.

we will never know

We don't need to know what her wealth is zorro. We only need to know that she and her family are living the life of luxury and unadulterated privelege at tax payers expense while the people who have paid those taxes- HER subjects - are living off foodbanks, starving to death in some cases, being made homeless, have no access to legal representation, unable to get hospital appointments. This why having a royal family with all those palaces, homes and castles as well as country estates is obscene.

My point was how can we quantify what is a fair sim is if we don’t know the full amount.
 
Ah, I see what you mean. I actually mean stop giving them money completely. They won, t starve, unlike some of their subjects. Strip them of all their powers and treat them as ordinarily citizens, subject to the same laws as us
 
This is an example where this site is completely out of step with the overall population. For me they could go tomorrow, but my opionion Is very much in the minority.

you seem to regularly get off on telling everyone on this site that they are not aligned with the average person....I'm fine with that, I don't want to be average, I want to think things through a little deeper and won't be told that I should be shameful for doing so, cheers
