I haven’t read it, my point is surely there’s somewhere far better than a message board that’s meant to be about football to discuss politics etc… You seem to have to scroll further and further down the board these days to find a football related thread

This place used to be good for a laugh, it now seems to be populated with geriatric snobs who get offended by the slightest little comment.

On the thread about inappropriate ads somebody wants a poster banned because he made a joke

If you know anything about FMTTM, particularly the 80s fanzine, you will realise that it's never been just about football.

Start a few football threads yourself if you're so anxious to avoid political ones. I mean, they're well signposted and you don't have to open them.

A good idea would be to pass over the threads that don't interest you. I find that is useful. It stops you getting upset about things you don't care about then. That being said, these topics being discussed ARE important.

People need to move past this view that "they are all the same" in relation to politicians.

They are not! The levels of corruptness shown by this government and if we are honest on many occasions over just the last decade is now at epidemic proportions.

Yes politicians on all sides get caught with their noses in the feeding bag, but not to this level, not a weekly, if not daily scandal, it is almost Trump administration bad now. They are raising taxes on the plebs, cutting them for banks, all whilst cutting local budgets.

The only tangible promise made about "levelling up" was they would MATCH not raise but MATCH (let that sink in, levelling up's only promise was to maintain EU levels of funding) EU funding. They have almost exclusively reneged on that country wide now. In fact, one of the few area's that have seen extra funding, was the deprived, and much in need of investment constituency of Rishi Sunak. Richmond! They are openly shafting everyone, why are people voting against their own interests?

Just because they say they are doing things, doesn't mean they are. They are removing democracy, accountability, oversight and enriching their friends. They are F***ing up the one thing they got elected to deliver, (Brexit) at this point they offer nothing and are doing nothing of substance to "level up" any part of society except those that already are enriched.

VOTE THEM OUT! For the actual good of the country, get these incompetent politicians and thieves out of office before they destroy more of our society.
