I fear you may be right. I would hope not though. I'm probably angrier then most because of my political leaning. At least you labour supporters can turn round and see "well what did you expect" etc. But when you go in for an (albiet more liberal) from of conservatism to see the Tory party so corrupt and so far to the right its a betrayal and an affront.
I get a load of grief, rightfully I admit, for voting Tory at the last election but I genuinely did vote on local issue and my faith in the tory candidate over the labour one, who famously couldn't remember her parties manifesto at the last election and didn't vote against corruption on Wednesday. I feel this faith at least was justified because even she tweeted not long ago that she had quit the Tory party, making me think she might have had principles.
It's going to be an important battle ground winning over middle England who should, like me, feel disposed and angry at the way the party is going. That is important, as is labour winning back it's red wall heartlands. I believe both of theses things are achievable. However it's up to us, who see the corruption, to make sure it doesn't get lost because come the next election, the majority of the red wall and middle England simply won't care. It's up to us to make them care. Make them realise how bad it has got.
