How's big earning Chris Houghton done at Forest?

I think this squad has needed a 'reset' and we have now finally moved on all of monks big money signings. They have held the last 3 managers back due to not been able to move them on due to wages. We are now in theory free from those shackles.

So this Boro side will look absolutely transformed with 8-9 new signings. They may not be glamorous but I imagine the very least they will do is graft. We have had 2-3 simply going through the motions for 2 years knowing they won't get a new deal.

A new player will at least have a bit of fire in thier belly and try to impress.

Also looking forward to seeing a classic old school No9 target man. I love one whos capable of bullying and roughing up CBs👏

How do you know Houghton's a big earner. I would hazard a guess that Neil is on similar or more given his reputation.
 
12 months ago - Houghton said it didn't want to manage at Championship level, so I think its fair the say it would have needed a big offer to bring him to Forest, probably budget wise and his own salary.

Akpom - not as good as a lot hoped for, but we have made worse signings. 4/10

Watmore - very good 8/10
Morsey - very good 8/10
Archer - OK 6/10
Fisher - OK 6/10

Bolasie - good 7/10
Kebano - OK 6/10
Bettenelli - not as good as expected 4/10

Hall - not sure if this was NW signing - but 6/10

With a restricted budget I would say he has done better than average.

Half the players Brentford but vanish without trace and they are supposed to be best at transfers.
 
Akpom - 4/10 seems to put in the effort but not a lot of ability
Watmore - 8/10
Morsey - 6/10 mixed, some better, some worse
Archer - 5/10 not sure, but more confidence than Betennelli
Fisher - 5/10 mixed

Bolasie - 6/10 but didn't make team tick
Kebano - 6/10 put right back and Howson under more defensive pressure
Bettenelli - 1/10
Hall - 7/10
