Not sure really. I don't think it matters what they do or who leads them they are toast. They pretend they're not Tories, they can blame foreigners and the "idle poor", they can blame the weather, the position of the moon, Reform, UKIP, Nationalism, lack of Nationalism, they can try to paint Starmer as a rabid Communist, they can invoke Brexit and boats...

It matters not a jot.

They are busted. When Johnson purged the party of any centrist thinkers, any old school one nation Conservatives he sealed their fate. If they are lucky they might be in a position to challenge in two Parliaments time. If they aren't it could be the end of the party as we know it. (Oh dear etc.)
