The Traitors.

I tried the Aussie one, didn't care enough to finish it as I found nearly all the contestants abrasive, confrontational and unpleasant. Whereas the British were almost universally likeable. I suspect the Aussies chose the contestants to get conflict. But for me I just ended up skipping most of it and just watching the round table and the tasks, ultimately I wanted them all to lose

Anyone watch the 1st Aussie series? What did Paul (the British guy) do to be completely edited out of the entire series? He didn't get any interviews and they even removed the audio feed from conversations he was part of.

I've googled it and there's no actual answer. He or any of the other contestants have no idea either.

Have 2 episodes to go and we've been saying the same.

Same. I watched half an episode of the Aussie one and found it far to confrontational and less intriguing.

Been told that he kept mentioning the crew everytime he spoke so they had to edit him out.

I read bits about that like he would highlight that the order they came into breakfast would make it so it was dramatic for TV. If they knew the last person in was one of the 2 potential murdered then you know they weren't a traitor type thing but you'd have thought if that was the reason then they would have just cut those bits out and maybe warned him. The edit made you barely notice he was there, even in conversations he was part of as a group. My guess is he must have done something that they couldn't get rid of him for but they didn't want to give him any press like too much drinking or being inappropriate etc. although none of the other contestants have said anything bad about him either.

It’s class just watching him pop up out of nowhere after never being referenced.

He really fcuked off the production staff.. kept on breaking the 4th wall and he was a nightmare when it came to banishment.. brought in all sorts of props lolol

Yeah.. so they just cut him out best they could.

Really? That's mad. Whenever he gets a vote you're just thinking who the f*** is Paul?

Never opened this thread as hadn't seen it before. Just binge watched UK series 1 and 2. Loved it.

That Harry kid in the second season was brilliant. That move where he got the shield then recruited was genius.

Kept the perfect traitor to take into the final with him because Andrew was never going to be clever enough to get Harry out. Really felt for Molly at the end because she clearly put her feelings for Harry in front of logic. And you could tell that was an awful moment for both if them. It was cracking TV though.

I only got into this with the 2nd series

I then went back and watched the first.

For money, I think the 2nd series was better.

I think the 1st series had more individual with careers to promote (a comedian, a magician, 2 actresses and an author) which I suppose isn't uncommon for reality TV. It also seemed to have more histrionics and shouting than the 2nd series.

I think the second series trusted the game more and depended less on characters.

I was interested by the last traitor being voted out saying it was a relief to lose. I think Harry might have felt similar if he were caught.

It's never been fully explained but this link mentions in the trivia section some comments from another contestant that at least help a bit.

Oh my word. Finished Aussie series 2 over the weekend - what a series. That was absolutely mental.
What an absolute tool and what a perfect ending.
