* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Leeds Match - Day Thread *

Strangely I'm encouraged. We're decimated by injuries and remain three points off the playoffs.

So many players to come back, certain players growing into their roles and the January window. It's not all and gloom to lose to a team with a £60m frontline.
Same here more convinced than ever we will be in those playoffs

He does but we don’t have anyone who can play RB so he will be playing RB

If Hackney is fit for Saturday him Barlaser in the middle (both play well together when Howson was out) and Howson plays RB hopefully organising the back 4.

I think hes still on loan at Darlo. Saw him play in the U21`s and he`s got what he takes. Really mature for his age and he`s played against men. He could do a job for us (y)
I didn’t realise he was out on loan, wouldn’t be too surprised if we recall him if McNair’s injury is a bad one

Just back and calming down from an exilerating game of football.

Just listened to both Carrick and Barlasers interviews and both where disappointed that we didn't get something from the game and I feel there is justice in them comments.

As we know Leeds have some really good players but we actually shot ourselves in the foot for all threw goals again, which barlaser accepted his involvement in the first.

It is the risk we take playing as Carrick has asked but when it works it is excellent. The biggest concern for me would be our reactiveness to second balls which needs to improve.

On anther day Lath scores 4 possible 5, the two he missed where easier than the two he scored but yet again he caused all sorts of problems and the team needs to press higher on his runs.

Rogers needs to be quicker in transition, thinks he has to much time, all player don't be afraid to shout in site of goal we don't always have to score the perfect goal.

However, great game, showed we can mix it with a depleted squad against a full strength prem squad really, hopefully we can rest up some of the injured players improve in Jan ready for a big push in the back end of the season, we are not a million miles away and should be in and around the play offs but this squad will only get better with time, KTF - UTB

Absolute nonsense we deserved nothing we were miles off them on another day they could have scored 6 or 7. We were never in control of possession chasing shadows all day. We are young team with injuries but some of the worst performers were our experienced players who were awful. McNair absolutely woeful Dijksteel as bad if not worse the engel was at sheff Wednesday horrific.crooks what a lazy b***r he is without the ball doesn't win or challenge for anything defensively apart from headers defending corners. We cant start effectively with 2 no 10s away from home like crooks and rodgers its far too much work on the shoulders of the Howson Barlaser/Hackney we were completely over ran in there today

Hey, I didn't say I was the oracle just my opinion on the game, totally understand we all see things differently.

Don't see where the criticism of Crooks comes from, mcnair yes he knew he was having a mare and Dijksteel was struggling two, second game back in how long and against arguable one of the best in the division.

Apparently Hannah was sent back early from Darlington due to being gash 😳
No he wasnt.
He was allowed on loan at Darlo until the end of October, with the possibility of an extension.
Get your facts right. (y)

Boro defender arrives on loan

Darlington have signed Jack Hannah on loan from Middlesbrough.

Jack, 20, is a central defender, who started his career at Middlesbrough in the under 8s, and progressed through all the age groups.

He captained the under 18s when he was a scholar, and is now playing regularly in the club’s Under 21 team. He signed a new contract with Boro in November last season.

Jack is on loan to us until 28th October, and Middlesbrough have given us permission to put him in our squad for the FA Cup tie against Scarborough on Saturday, for which we are grateful.

We’d like to thank Middlesbrough for their help in arranging the loan, and we wish Jack all the best in his stay with us.

See him playing against Forest at Meadow Lane [Notts County] No. 46 You have to look close as the camera is up in the stands and its Forest highlighted.

He was sent home 11 days before his loan officially ended, though there were only 1-2 games left before his loan was officially up.
It might have just been that he was ineligible for the match on the 28th, so he only missed the match on the 24th of October, but the Darlington fans in that thread seem to think it was an early decision.
