Found out at the end of last season for not having a clear plan b. Perhaps the aim of these friendlies is not to reveal plan a til the season starts.
Was the same against Hartlepool, him and Fry were our two worst players for a good stretch of the game.I know it's a friendly, I know it's McNair's first game back, I know it's a random team selection but Bradford are league two pre season has been a proper struggle so far.
Assuming Giles has gone to Luton do you think Collins will be left back?Solid 2nd string..

Injuries.. missing players etc..
gives a closer indication to our first 11 if there is such a thing and where we might be heading transfer wise..

Left back.. might just be a left back.
Hoppe is absolutely way off from what I've seen of him. A gamble that hasn't paid off that one.Coulson had a good game. Really like what I've seen of Nkrumah. The rest of them ... hmmmmm.
And as for Hoppe, he's a nice bloke but we might as well just cut our losses and release him. If he ever gets near our first team we're in trouble
Some of our fans just don’t rate Payero for some reason.I wouldn’t say the game passed Payero by, I thought he got stuck in and played some decent passes. At least he kept trying to get us going forward.
Nah, I think we will bring in a left back.Assuming Giles has gone to Luton do you think Collins will be left back?
We’ll see..I wouldn’t say the game passed Payero by, I thought he got stuck in and played some decent passes. At least he kept trying to get us going forward.
I agree, don’t think Collins looks ready.Nah, I think we will bring in a left back.
I think we're 4, possibly 5, players worse off than last season. I really thought we'd be going for it this season but there's still time to bring better players in before the transfer window closes.Team to start as it stands, with worst case injury scenarios

More than capable of beating Millwall, with good bench options in Jones, Silvera and Gilbert.
Can't see goals in that team. 75% possession, 0.4xg.Team to start as it stands, with worst case injury scenarios

Hope so and certainly not knocking Rogers who will try his best. I just think he will need a bit of luck against a millwall team the are pretty robust at the back and weren’t far off the play offs last year.Team to start as it stands, with worst case injury scenarios

Bang on assessment.I thought Payero was our best player. Energetic, much more robust than he was, looked to get us forward and made some great challenges. Gilbert looked good at times but played a lot of wayward stuff. Our biggest problem was trying to play short passes out of defence with a back four and keeper that weren't really up to it. Our two central defenders were beaten to too many headers and I think Glover could have done better with the looping header. Silvera needs some confidence and to strengthen up a bit.
That said, it was clearly a team that was full of youngsters and 2nd string/development players. Nkruma looked really lively. It wasn't terrible by any stretch.
Good Boro support for a mid-week away pre-season game.
