I'm still waiting for that anagram competition to happen. I worked out years ago that Stella Artois is an anagram of 'Let's soil a rat' and I'm convinced that I'm going to win some kind of prize for doing that someday.

Never mind 'soiling a rat' the last time I had too many Stella's I soiled my pants, I can't remember much about it tbh...

To be fair now Nobby you do soil yourself fairly regularly these days. Nearly happened to me last week but I made it to the bathroom just in time. That's just getting old mate. Catches up with all of us eventually.

Yeah they sell Ghost Ship in The Brewery in Whitley Bay. Not my favourite, I must admit.

Adams Ghost Ship, I like it but would prefer the Broadside....
I've had an Aldi Plum Porter £1.29 really nice

Yeah but not overpowering just a hint it's 4.8% I will be getting it again
I've gone onto McEwans Export now as I only had the one bottle

I understand that folk like to champion smaller niche breweries and retailers but I have to applaud 'big Tesco' in Stockton who now have a fantastic range of Belgian beers including:-

Leffe Blonde
Leffe Bruin
Delirium Triemens
Westmalle Dubbel
Tripel Karmeliet
Duvel
Duvel Tripel Hop Citra
Duvel 6,66
La Chouffe

I tried leffe blonde about 15 years ago when working in Brussels, I thought it was vile. A few weeks later in the hotel a yank came in and considered a budwieser then decided to try a blonde. I warned him and he had one so the ordered a bud.

Leffe blonde is glorious. Rocket fuel, a sipping drink but glorious none the less.
