Half way through this autobiog of a " girl" ( Fiona Hill) from Bishop Auckland who ended up advising three US Presidents on Russia.
Great insight and overview of how similar the plight of the Uk north east, the US rust belt and the soviet factory towns are/ where. Looking forward to her involvement in the Trump presidency ( and impeachment) she's clearly warning of the West following putins Russia.
 
I think I went to a talk by her on the Hay Festival - maybe 4 years ago - she was incredibly positive person - she would get a hard time on this Forum :confused:
