These people sat in parks today

THe truth is the lack of PPE has been done on another thread with 2 opposing views and started to go round in circles a bit.
Just a quick one on bulking up ppe, wouldn't surgical masks have a 'use by' date, I know in first aid kits things like bandages do so assume it would be the same for FFP masks???

There's some images on social media of a doctor peeling off a use by label on a box of surgical masks dated 2020 to reveal one below saying 2016, then another beneath that for 2012 (I think those were the dates)

That's a very good question Gaz, never considered that when I first read the report.
That is a very good question, and not one I had considered either, but I did think "how can a mask 'go off'" so the re-testing is a very valid point

Equipment is tested and machines calibrated on a regular basis, same as any tool or PPE in any industry. It’s no use if it’s not working properly or giving a wrong reading.

This is one of my worries about new design ventilators. They need a thorough approval process then beta site testing.

We had a thread about people sat in parks/disrespecting the lock down but now we have another thread on PPE. Because it hasn't been discussed on here before.

In NZ, if you have a backyard you can only walk the dogs and exercise yourself in said backyard. None of this traipsing about the streets lark.
Now on this thread we'd have some arguing that would be unnecessarily draconian and others arguing that anything less is unnecessarily risky.
With that sort of split in ideas how can a government (anywhere in the world) be considered to be "doing a good job"?

Personally, I may not think much of Boris (and he's made plenty of mistakes), but the longer this crisis has gone on, the more I've seen a man trying his absolute best to get his country through this with as little damage as possible.
Although he's been compared to Trump, this crisis has highlighted the significant differences between the two of them.

My opinion is certainly different to yours. However I am not going to get into a debate about it with you. Each to their own.
