Tim hortons

We went the other week and honestly, I thought it was overrated. The burger was barely warm, the fried potatoes the same. The timbits were crap too. Supposed to be a selection (we paid for the 50 box) and I'd hazard a guess that three quarters of them were cinnamon flavoured.

The strawberry milkshake was delicious mind.

I thought it was terrible. Food was cold, tasted bland. On a par with McDonald's. Plenty people in the cue mind, so they must be doing something right.

I’m not into the spiced ones , i like cinema but that’s for more to it .
I’d probably give it a 5-6 out of 10 based on my 2 visits . The chocolate milk shake had a where’d taste . The beef burger tasted like chuck wagon quality , it didn’t taste bad but not what you’d expect from a franchise . The chicken burger tasted like a super market frozen product oven cooked .
Maybe if you just want coffee and donuts this place will be ok

Been twice, food is terrible but the drinks are good, won’t be rushing back, north times Five Guys has been empty, reckon both will be gone within 2 years, looking forward to the Taco Bell in south bank mind👍

Expensive and *****.

Only went because my mates fancied it, so I wasn't going in with any expectations, but it was really poor quality.

Basically a cup of lemon juice, a plain and bland hot dog and a very expensive doughnut.

The maple doughnut tasted alright, it just wasn't worth £3.

I went on the first day it opens when it was a free brekkie, had to wait ages mind due to all the Thornaby chavs waiting to get something for nothing. Not bad at all really, tipped the staff including the geezer with a geordie accent dressesd as a bird .
U T B .

When you say dressed as a bird do you mean a women or the feathered kind ?
The first week I went there was a women/bloke dealing with the l drive through

Been 3 times and enjoyed what I had every time

It isn't Michelin star but it doesn't pretend to be

Far cheaper than five guys. I like five guys stuff more but it's expensive for what it is

Had a breakfast today and found it far superior to other fast food stuff

Everything is cooked in an oven I believe rather than fried or deep fried

Was impressed with how quick they turned the queues around.

Can't really see them being gone in 2 years myself; been plenty of people there when we've gone. £3.95 for a big breakfast wrap, hash brown and orange juice isn't really that expensive is it?

Burgers and shakes? Sounds like an expanded menu for the UK.
Over here with their coffee, muffins, donuts, timbits and apple fritter selections Tim’s remains a long-standing staple for The Great White North.
That said, of late they have begun to offer grilled cheese sandwiches, soups and wraps.

Hi rav I was surprised to see people refer to it as a burger joint as well as to me it’s always been as you say a kind of Canadian version of DD more about grabbing a coffee and danish type as well as a simple breakfast type fayre.

I still swear by Timmy Hos hot choc though.

Not tried it in the UK yet.

Thought it was garbage had a toastie and lattice fries. The toastie wasnt great far inferior to something you would get in Costa and the lattice fries were disgusting. Having said that when are lattice fries ever an improvement on normal fries.
