Tim hortons

Expensive and *****.

Only went because my mates fancied it, so I wasn't going in with any expectations, but it was really poor quality.

Basically a cup of lemon juice, a plain and bland hot dog and a very expensive doughnut.

The maple doughnut tasted alright, it just wasn't worth £3.
Yeah forgot to mention the price too.

Two meal deals with two upgrade milkshakes.
One strawberry trifle donut and one chocolate donut and a 50 box of timbits. £40+.

What I would say is that as I understand it, it's primarily a coffee place in Canada.

I have absolutely no interest in coffee, so I'm missing out on their main selling point.

An extra-large, double cream and a scrumptious apple fritter for me🇨🇦😛

£3.99 for a breakfast wrap hash brown and French vanilla iced coffee. Absolutely mint to be fair 👍

It’s only just opened and it’s fast food, what are people wanting? Spending £40 on 2 meals is insanity. You could have a proper sit down meal with drinks for that at Borge in Stockton.

Lived a long time in Canada. In Canada right now. UK Tim Hortons is nothing like Canada's. Plays same role in Canada as Greggs does here. Cheap, quick and basic. All the cops stop there for coffee and doughnuts. The filter coffee is fine. Their espresso is terrible. Bagels are OK toasted with butter. I've never been a fan of Timbits but Canadians love them. Every meeting is coffee and Timbits.

The people of Buffalo swear by everything Tim Hortons, but let’s be honest it’s worse than McDonalds.

Tims in Canada is an institution and it's like a Canadian Starbucks. The doughnuts are famous. I'm a bit confused by the talk of burgers, etc. They don't sell any of that there.

Hi rav I was surprised to see people refer to it as a burger joint as well as to me it’s always been as you say a kind of Canadian version of DD more about grabbing a coffee and danish type as well as a simple breakfast type fayre.

I still swear by Timmy Hos hot choc though.

Not tried it in the UK yet.
Given the rousing whoop of excitement last month I thought you would be first through its doors!! 😀

My daughter was looking forward to this opening as she’s been to one’s in Canada and loved them…

On her recommendation we were looking forward to it.. but it’s a bit disappointing tbh…

The hot food is average but the drinks and doughnuts were very nice… it’s not on my list of must haves though..

The staff behind the counter seemed a bit rudderless and I blame that in management… they seem to be accepting mediocrity and I can’t see them lasting too long unless they motivate the staff…

Five guys is next door, twice the price, but twice as nice, so not sure why this place opened. It won't be open long.

I'm confused. Most people seem to be reviewing it on here as if it's a fast food restaurant? Its a coffe shop and bakery surely? Compare to Starbucks not McDonalds

Been 3 times and enjoyed what I had every time

It isn't Michelin star but it doesn't pretend to be

Far cheaper than five guys. I like five guys stuff more but it's expensive for what it is

Had a breakfast today and found it far superior to other fast food stuff

Everything is cooked in an oven I believe rather than fried or deep fried

Was impressed with how quick they turned the queues around.

Can't really see them being gone in 2 years myself; been plenty of people there when we've gone. £3.95 for a big breakfast wrap, hash brown and orange juice isn't really that expensive is it?

You spent a fair bit of time defending five guys about price, and now here you are agreeing it’s expensive 🤣🤣
