It's strange the amount of criticism he gets. He's done ok for us I think, that's 3 goals and a couple of assists already for us now. The goal he scored tonight, though the finish was scruffy was actually a really good goal, he must have run 70 yards in the move.
He's not the sort to fly into tackles or win loads of 50/50s, but that's not why we bought him. He's there to create chances and score goals, which he's doing as far as I can see.

He doesn't have a lot of pace. That doesn't mean he wasn't good tonight though.

He's a young lad ripe for coaching and will improve next season.
 
Azaz has real quality, for me what I find frustrating with him is, he is not in the game enough, but second half tonight I thought he played well, got in the ball made things happen, he looks a clever player…it’s how do we get the best out of him?

Think he needs 2 pace merchants outside him to really get the best out of him. He has it on one side with Jones and also latte Lath down the middle but Azaz does like to drift left a lot so maybe if we had a pacy wide left attacker rather than the bang average Greenwood then he may start to get better.

I think Azaz should be our first choice sub as 10 next season.
 
Not saying he will be as good but Morgan Rogers got the same sort of pelters in his early games for us. I like Azaz he tries things that don't always work but he creates and takes chances. Not sure he was my MOTM I'd favour Johnny H myself
 
Azaz frustrates me because I can see that he's got the ability to do great things for us, but he's just that little bit too slow on the ball right now and keeps getting dispossessed whilst he's trying to do it.

Hoping it's still a bedding in thing and he comes good next season.

A mistake from Dieng may of cost us but that’s just human error, unfortunately for us.

The defence were pretty good across the board and it was great to see VDB back, give Ayling a 2 year deal.

Midfield were great at times especially once greenwood came off but I thought Jones was the odd one out at times and was very poor and wasted most opportunities that came his way apart from setting up the equaliser ironically.

Latte Lath was his usual self, I think this lad is real quality and that was the finish of a top striker. We may need to start calling him Sex Panther.

Engel was a liability defensively, he does not mark his man , gets dragged central , leaving HIS MAN unmarked . Did ok going forward , but is like a schoolboy learning his trade .
Midfield got over ran after the initial 20 minutes .
Jones was average .
Lath looks like a find .
Greenwood played like he was going through the motions , and knows he is not staying , no

Simply red I can't let that go unchallenged.

Ayling handled the best player on the pitch reasonably well in the first half with no support from Jones, who in my opinion his on the left in the first half. In the second half Ayling played well.

Engel, I can't be bothered explaining that the man you describe as a defensive liability cleared one of the line, blocked 2 shots on target and recovered the ball 3 times when Clarke lost his man.

Engel has some very bad games for us, that's true, last night wasn't one of them. Last night he was defensively solid and contributed going forward too.

Talk some amount of b***ks. Ayling was anything but a liability against a very very good player. Easily one of our best players on the night.

He never looked ‘his age’ it was a very fair battle that neither player could say they came out on top on. He’s been class for us.

Azaz for me (just) ahead of Jones.

Overall Seri showed why he has played at the very top level. Read the game brilliantly and always looked to have plenty of room in possession.
 
Clark was like a Cyborg last night, he was superb. I’m going Clark, Howson and Ayling, his header off the line was magnificent.

Also thought Dieng had a good game apart from the obvious howler. Lath worked really hard and challenged everything up that end of the pitch, I'm starting to really like him
