Looking forward to this race with Mercedes getting the grid penalty. How long will Bottas keep Max at bay while Hamilton makes his way through the field?

Does anyone know what the weather is like for today's race?

Yes wet but no rain as yet but overcast so could well get more rain later on

This is going to be a spicy little start. If Bottas is as good as he was last year it's going to be a great race for the Red Bulls.

These conditions where it's on the cusp are the biggest leveller. Pouring rain would have been more consistent, this is going to be a Turkey shoot. Some drivers who have confidence in the car can fly yet people who are unsure will be so slow as they try and find grip.

Lewis is in big trouble jsut because he's surrounded by cars, any one of which could spin.

"It could be 2, 3, 4 stops. Says Russell.

A 4 stop race would be insane. Given what Hamilton did last year though: he drove on extremely worn inters. Thay could be the ace in the hole. Hamilton being able to stay until until if/when we switch to dry tyres

Horses for courses, I think the McLaren has been much stronger on low drag high speed, but Lewis was lapping 1.3 seconds a lap quicker.

Sainz is being so solid. Seems an overtake every lap.

I'm amazed at how easy Lewis got past Lando. Lando has had the measure of Lewis a couple of times this season
Ditto Gasly. I thought he'd be much tougher to pass.

It'll be spicy now though. Catching up to someone with a more powerful car, who is even better than he for managing tyres.

Those laps behind Tsunoda could be the costly ones, just lost a bit too much time to challenge without the safety car
