Two Clean Sheets

Last two games against an in-form Cardiff and supposedly in form Sunderland, produces two clean sheets, Fry and McNair starting to have a good partnership.
Hopefully McNair will keep his place in the team, it's his to lose now.

Took only the first half which I watched in full.
I was impressed by the calmness and courage of both of them.
Fry and Mcnair play without fear of being cut off.
And what is most impressive is Deing he plays like a defender.
He's up high and he's great at playing with his feet.
Crooks is another person I admire, came down to cut the ball well.
Jones used his speed, came down to help cut the ball very beautifully.
They are not afraid at all, playing time in your own penalty area.
How confident do you have to be?

At some point we’ll get caught out playing out from the back. Liverpool & Brighton both showed that it doesn’t matter how confident you are, it’s only a matter of time before you drop a clanger or two.

Fair play to Smith, late call up, up against the 'form' player in the league. First half especially, he produced a real solid/ professional showing.

I love Tommy Smiths attitude, him sorting the players out celebrating in front of the Mackem end showed good experience and much needed leadership skills. Fry and McNair seem to play well together like Crooksy and Izzy do.

His amount of yellow cards can be annoying...but if that's the only thing that annoys me with him, then I'll take that!

He's so solid and a great RB for this division.

I think his experience is so underrated.

Even in the dressing room you just know he's one of the leaders and so focused, and won't let anyone drop their standards.

I'd go the other way, sometimes if you're doing your best to protect the goal it is inevitable to get yellows. Most effective defenders get plenty unless they're absolutely world class, I think Fry and Dijksteel don't get enough!

Saturday was a very professional performance. We looked much more composed at the back when i thought we would struggle with their pace. A Red Card is not always easy to play against but that second half performance was fantastic from start to finish.

Much more positive signs and two wins against in form sides should be applauded, amazing what a few wins can do. I still think we have another level or two to reach but the signs are good right now and stopping the goals going in is what has pleased me most.

No . But there was a stage last season I had it and it was high. Then we had a poor run towards end of season so it may of evened itself out but now he’s back in team and we’re winning. So reckon it’s still fairly good numbers.
