We’ve gone on a great run at the right time however I think it’s a touch too late for the playoffs and will run out of games.

It’s a shame with the injuries we have had to deal with otherwise I think we would have made the playoffs again quite comfortably instead we will end a couple of wins shy of the playoffs.

Sadly one of those “what if” seasons…

Certainly too late, I think, buttttt finishing the season in style and positively is massive.

Players growing into the squad and taking a lot of confidence into the summer and pre-season 👍🏼

After we lost 2-0 to Stoke we were 12 points behind Hull in 6th. We are now 1 point behind Hull. That was 6 games ago. Its not likely but it ain’t impossible.

Edit-We’re actually ahead of Hull!

Crazy league the Championship.

Sunderland beat Cardiff away on Friday then get thumped by Blackburn at home. Cardiff then go away to Coventry at win. Sums it all up.

As for Boro. It’s just nice seeing us have a bit of momentum again. I’ve not bothered looking at other fixtures, as other teams are much better placed for finishing 6th. We need to stay unbeaten and win probably 5 of the final 6. Not going to happen I reckon.

You’d have to make Norwich favorites for sixth place followed by Coventry. However if we can win a few on the bounce (tough with our fixtures), it keeps the season alive that little bit longer!

If we're going to be honest, the fixtures have been kind to us recently. Norwich aside we haven't beaten anyone decent, and I doubt we'd have beaten them had they not gone down to 10 men.

It's still going to be a massive ask winning 5 out of our last 6 games (which is what will be needed to give us a chance) but I'm just glad we're still in with an outside chance.

It should make the remaining games exciting, as we're going to have to attack the opposition and really go for it. Could mean we'll see some end to end football and lots of goals.

The Leeds game in particular could be an exciting one if we're still in with a shot of the play-offs by the time we play them.

Could argue the same for Norwich.

In their last 12 games, the only decent team they've beaten was a 10 man Coventry.

But they have a much more favourable run in anyway, so that could well continue.

Sadly, over those 6 games we've gained only 2 points on Norwich and will likely need to gain another 7 over the next 6 to get in.

That's always been the problem: we've been trying to gain 5-6 points on 5-6 teams for a while now, and with that many teams, one of them is likely to have good form if we did go on a run.

The worrying thing is that Norwich's only recent defeat came in the game against us, otherwise they've been in good form for a few months now.

What's encouraging is that although they've been in good form for a few months now, they've drawn a few games against the poorer sides in the division. We just have to keep winning so that they feel pressured into winning their games.

Another 8 days and we should have a bit of a clearer view. If we could beat Swansea and Hull it will really put the cat amongst the pigeons. This is where I see us most likely to mess it up.

Then it’s Ipswich away and Leeds. 3 point from that would be brilliant, 4 would be fantastic and 6 would be unbelievable. Anything less than 3 knocks us out of the race.

Finally Cardiff away and Watford at home, you would hope neither would have anything to play for by that point, not that that usually helps. 6 points would be a must.
