Unite Union high ranking employee being investigated for fraud

Unite basically control Labour and our policies. Hmm, I bet that's news to the leadership of Unite and to Keir Starmer in equal measure.
Come on, your clearly not daft, Len Mclusky has practically chosen the leader of the Labour Party for years now, he chose corban, and he also backed the wrong milliband. Were not even in the same ball park as the tories in terms of corruption, but we are controlled by the union vote.

That's 3 names you can't spell right. it's McCluskey, Corbyn and Miliband.. but my point is that the Unions have rarely controlled Labour Party policy and they certainly don't at the moment. You are absolutely correct, in that we are not and never have been in the same ball park as the Tories , in terms of corruption. We've probably never been in the same continent or even planet as they have. But, as to the point about being controlled by the Union vote, that is so wrong in terms of policies that have been enacted by a Labour Government or even motions carried at Labour Party Conference. The last time, certainly in my memory that the Labour party and Trade Unions acted in concert, was the 1974 Social contract. There was a tacit agreement with the 1997 Labour Government, that they would honour the "Warwick Agreement" made with the TUC, but the results of that as far as Trade Unions went was piecemeal at best. The Tories will always best represent the people who donate to their Party coffers, Newspaper and media owners, Big Business, Hedge Fund Managers, Bankers and until very recently Russian Oligarchs. I sometimes wonder why The Labour party doesn't do the same to their main financial backers. I'm sure, that if I hadn't been out tonight, that I could have thought of a few more things to provide references to, but anyway, Up the Boro and Tories Out.

When I type on a phone autocorrect takes over, don't be so pedantic. I agree on up the boro and tories out but this spelling nonsense you chose to point out rather obnoxiously encapsulates why Labour sometimes suffer at the poles, no doubt you were trying to educate me lol as I think we sometimes do to Brexit voting tory Britain. And yes I am a Labour voter, yes I am a remainder. Just try to perhaps if we try to comeedown from that moral pedestal we pop ourselves on so often we may get our of this mess.

Again the grammar and spelling above is a phone issue l, before you kindly help me out with it :)

So you take from my reply, that the problem I have is with your spelling and totally ignore the rest of the post, in particular the second part of the first sentence. In my opinion, your statement that the Labour Party is and has been controlled by the Unions and Unite in particular doesn't stand up to scrutiny particularly today and I tried to present evidence as to why I think that, that was the main point of my post along with actually agreeing with you about corruption in the Tory party in comparison to the Labour party. Quite hard to agree with you when I'm so high up on my moral pedestal.

Just another Tory voting waste of oxygen. His team are killing the country but it's every one else's fault

Perhaps that's why there's not so many replies. You're trying to deflect from the gross incompetence of your party using anything possible. Grasping at straws

Banter is fine, as are the attempts to circumvent the swear filter ... as long as they are mild/amusing/NOT LIKELY TO OFFEND.

It's pretty nasty do you not think, to defend a corrupt, lying and law breaking government and hide behind site rules when challenged.

Voting for increased poverty, forcing people to use the extending charity sector, including those in employment, is what's really offensive. Yes it's a democracy and you can vote for further inequality but if you're looking for respect for doing so you can look elsewhere.

Obviously a nasty party voter.

McCluskey got a vote the same as I and other Labour party members did. McCluskey lobbied for his preference to be leader while others lobbied for their preference of candidates.

Obviously a nasty party voter.
Which one? I doubt anyone has ever voted for increased poverty.

A labour voter wants higher taxes to increase tax take, a sound position. There is no evidence that a rate above 45% increases tax take, people think it's unfair and avoid it.

A Tory voters wants to increase wealth to increase tax take, a sound position.

Neither voted for increased poverty. That's just a lazy thought process.
