USA now wants to 'weaken' Russia to stop it invading other countries

All the gear and no idea.
Its getting to the point here they will have neither the gear nor the idea.

For example attacking railway stations is unlikely to stop the flow of weaponry and other supplies from NATO in the west to the front in the East. Stations are important for moving people, less so for material. This is simply a terror tactic. If you want to stop the movement of supplies by rail you target things like bridges. In stations you often have multiple lines and they are built on relatively flat land which makes it easy to repair bomb damage or re-route around it. Knock out a major bridge and you have denied the railway to the enemy for a considerable period. But the Russians are either not capable of the sort of precision interdiction that we saw on our screens during the Gulf War or would rather kill a few kids and grannies.

I feared that the regroup and attack in the Donbass might prove too much for the beleaguered Ukrainians but so far they seem to be coping. The flood of weaponry and expertise from the US could well tip the balance to a comprehensive and undeniable defeat. I suspect that the Ukrainians fancy another go at the Russian Black Sea fleet and wonder what the Yanks might give them to send another boat or two to the bottom. The Moskva was their principle anti air defence asset in the fleet.

One of Russia's biggest suppliers of weapons were the Ukraine, what an own goal. Why on earth did mad Vlad feel he could Blitzkrieg Ukraine without a fight is beyond me. He must think he lives in the 40's where technology was basic but at the flick of a switch a majority of the World turned him off, even China are keeping quiet. When you send kids and old men into war you know you're on a slippery slope. Poor equipment, no leadership and no planning will be his downfall. But backed into a corner maybe the worrying thing. Hopefully we can fast forward to the Bunker scene and a 9 Mill to the temple.

And now what looks like sabotage in the border regions, hopefully we could get to a point where Putins taken out and some strongman wants to go down in history for introducing real democracy in Russia, rather than same old same old.

I hope Georgia and Moldova start to 'test the water' and reclaim their land back too. The dictator started its own downfall hopefully with this....would love to see it dead

I think a flash point may come when Russia tries to disrupt the supply of weapons from NATO members.

They will feel they have to do this because they will not overcome a sufficiently armed Ukraine.

If they were foolish enough to try to attack NATO facilities in say Poland it would trigger Article 5. They know this and would not do it.

They will and are targeting the supply lines (hence the attacks on railway infrastructure). This "war" is a complete clusterfukk. They are only now trying to target weapons and fuel supplies. Compare it to the Gulf War when the allies took out transport infrastructure, communications and supplies from day one. It is almost certain that most Ukrainian supplies are now either in hardened shelters and/or distributed away from pre war stores. Their best chance to stop the flow of supplies is to target the transport infrastructure. Three months in and they are just starting to do it. Reportedly they are still having logistics problems of their own despite having shifted to concentrate on the Donbas.

The last thing the Russian military could cope with would be a sky full of NATO fighters and supported by NATO air defences. Their Black Sea fleet would also be very vulnerable on day one.

UK government spokesman now saying it's legitimate for Ukraine to attack the dictator's war machine inside Russia.

Russia is at war with Ukraine, why would Ukraine not strike targets in Russia if it is able to? Russia is not at war with Poland so they cannot "legitimately" attack NATO targets there without triggering Article 5.

Don't get me wrong I totally agree with Ukraine doing it. It would serve Putin right if all it's army were kicked out of Ukraine Georgia and Moldova - and a buffer zone was occupied inside Russia, so there's no doubt the dictator lost. And lost big style

Thought it was a liberation or so the Russian people have been told.

How about hitting the Kremlin just to say they could, with ease. Really surprised they haven't lobbed a few across the border TBF.

We should have supplied weapons to them 5 years ago.

No party should be allowed to take funds from a foreign resident.

The Russians ate into the Tory party, the Ukraine is suffering for it.

The problem Putin has us that the longer the war goes on, the stronger Ukrainian weaponry will be.

there are a lot of ukrainians and people of ukrainian origin living and working in russia. I'd be amazed if there aren't 'terrorist' counter strikes in Moscow at some point.

Although I deplore the atrocities going on… I can’t help feeling we are being led to an answer what NATO want us to arrive at. I think a lot of clever propaganda is being fed to us so we can legitimately demonise the Russians/Putin.
Imagine if Russia or China were allied to France and they start parading military hardware near the channel… would we not react?

I'm all for as much 'propaganda' as they want.
The dictator's army has invaded Ukraine. That is all that matters.
I'm told it's not right to block the dictator's spokespeople being broadcast- but I can choose not to listen to anything they put out.
The dictator has sent it's army into Ukraine - let's hope for as much spin and propaganda as possible from the victim. That might reduce the amount of women and children able to be killed by the dictator's army - and hopefully in turn the dictator will be killed.
It is not possible to hate it enough
