Villarreal vs Liverpool ..

When Arsenal's invincibles were on the verge of going a whole season unbeaten I don't recall anyone saying it was disrespectful to Arsenal's future opposition just to speculate that they may not be able to beat them.

It's not the same thing and you know it.

Liverpool are 2nd in the league, not 1st.

I'd have no issue with the chat if they had overtaken Man City the other week.

No.

But there aren't articles about how Middlesbrough are about to make history by making the play-offs as if it's a foregone conclusion.

There are plenty of articles about Liverpool being on the cusp of history with an unprecedented quadruple.

They might not even get the double and they're certainly not in the driving seat.
Ok. I don't tend to read articles on PL teams at the moment so I've missed those.

You seem a bit angry tonight mate, it's only football.

Never understand how Middlesborough fans crave a Spanish team beating an English Premier League Team? Like English blokes wearing an Argentina shirt - just don’t get it! Why would you want a foreign club to beat an English club? Conclusion must be simple jealousy? I am happy supporting the Boro - my home town team and always wanting England and English club sides to do well.

Where's the anger in my post?

I just wasn't fond of the overboard coverage a few weeks ago when the main element of the quadruple isn't in Liverpool's hands.

If they manage it, Klopp will rightly be lauded as one of the best managers in the history of world football, let alone English football, and he's already a world class manager as is, but I think the more likely outcome is for Man City to win the league.

That final is going to be a thriller whoever goes through tomorrow though, but I really hope it's not Real Madrid.

I wanted Liverpool to win but this is a load of nonsense.

Never understand how Middlesborough fans misspell Middlesbrough.🤭

I've got no particular love of Liverpool and Villareal are exactly the sort of football club you want to see do well.

Punching well above their weight.

I'd quite happily support most English clubs against the powerhouses of Europe, and if Real Madrid get to the final, I'll be fully behind Liverpool, but it's nice to see smaller teams being successful.

Aye .. I have always liked the English teams to progress, generally .. though we all always tend to have certain clubs we just do not like for various reasons, but aye I have never understood it when people go full-on in wishing them to fk up in games like this

Most teams I 'hate' 🤡don't play this level of football anyway :ROFLMAO:

Most recently I have had what I thought was an irrational disliking of Steve Cooper and his teams, don't suppose I am alone there haha. ... though deep down I know it is just simple envy, jealousy, so shame on me - they've been better than us, while we had been competing to go up amongst the top of the pack and we were ahead of Cooper's Forest at one stage until the Wilder honeymoon period come to a screeching halt :ROFLMAO:

.. Cooper has also brought on a player I wish we could have kept who rivals Jones for one of the Championships' POTS, but he does not want to be here. Anyway, we get paid handsomely where ever he ends up now, so not it ain't so bad after all.

But back to the subject, I do like to see English teams/players do well and 'our' teams dominate in Europe's highest level of football at the moment .. it attracts the best to England and it can only be good for football here. Helps the National team enormously.

What Klopp and Guardiola have done to this country over the years in terms of influence and making us leaders on the stage is phenomenal .. I know they're buckled with cash, but .. I have never known anything like this

Good luck to the two of them in the final, as long as Madrid doesn't have Benzema firing on all cylinders tomorrow haha

I’m happy to cheer on English teams in Europe. As long as they aren’t Chelsea. Or Man Utd. Or West Ham. And probably Newcastle will go on the list before long 🙄.

I reckon Liverpool will win quadruple. For some reason I see City dropping points even with the easier fixtures

But nobody is saying "oh Liverpool are so great because they are definitely going to win four trophies ", the plaudits are because they are in contention to win four trophies.
It's pretty simple to understand to be honest.

It’s the closest anyone been to doing the quadruple. In 2 more finals and 1 point behind the leaders. If that’s not on cusp not sure what is

Providing City does dump out RM tomorrow, I think it is finally City's year to lift the CL. It will be a right punch in the nads for Pep if he misses out again at the last minute to their main rivals in the league, like  ... so you never know, makes for great entertainment, once again ..

In the PL, I don't see City dropping points at all .. I think the league will finish as it is now, though I would love to see Liverpool actually do it and win the quad. Just can't see it, as amazing as they are. Heavy metal football deserves a quadruple, something just tells me it won't be this year though despite their quality. Can't wait to see how it all ends though for this campaign.

I sense a nervy final vs City .. despite the goal-fest en-route to the final from both sides .. a nervy 0 - 0 and City will edge it in the dying moments, Jesus (y)
