Virgin Media broadband service....Down

They sent me a new hub the other week. I didn't ask for the bloody thing. It's hideous and massive and it seems to be even more unreliable than the old one was.
I get one free relocation with Sky - as soon as I've got this place sorted, I'm moving the sky account up here.

Seems ok so far this am

Virgin was down here in Gloucester when I got up yesterday. Half an hour later, working all fine then intermittent from about 4:30 p.m. until late in the evening. Funnily enough, this morning, I’ve just tested and got the best speed I’ve ever had!

Mines been rubbish for three days now. TS23. Monday was dropping in and out all day - an hour out, five minutes working, half hour out. I called them - and boy should they sort out their call centre because all you could hear were loud conversations and people shouting in the background - said it was likely a local intermittent fault. Clearly not, now.

It was OK, not great yesterday, managed to get through a zoom meeting ok, then definitively dropped out late in the evening. This morning it's ridiculously slow, only about 3mbps. Trouble is, up here in Billog it's basically Virgin or slow.

I've just received a bill for £62 this morning from them, for broadband and phone (which I dont even have plugged in). Tried to cancel and suddenly it's £33 a month for 18 months (!!). Went with it as it's the fastest I can get where I live, but I hate the whole cancelling dance you have to go through just to get a decent price.

Same as mine, only I got £31 - no phone.

Down in Redcar at the moment. No information other than it should be back within 12 hours.

The app isn't reporting outages so they're getting swamped with calls. If they just provided the correct status then it would free up everyone's time.

I tweeted them and got a generic "we're working hard blah blah"

I screenshot the website reporting "No problems in TS23!!!, must be you!!!" along with a speedcheck showing the 2.3mbps I was getting.

I had to hotspot again for half an hour this morning but seems ok now.

Apalling service - in the 4 years of having Sky at my GFs house this has hardly ever happened.

I must admit, for a number of years I’ve had very few issues. In recent months it’s got a hell of a lot worse though.

I’ve not had any issues today but throughout yesterday we had people at work popping up saying they were having issues. Mine dropped again at 5 for about an hour.

I’m no longer contracted just waiting for a viable alternative to expand their network. Don’t fancy moving to BT or Sky as can’t be chewed messing around with phone lines etc.
