A lot of you like me probably look at the https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/
each day. I look at the raw numbers and the shape of the graphs.
the second of which paint a misleading picture of how we are coping.
Yes the numbers are not rising much.........yet. But they are still at too high a level compared to other countries
We have been lulled into accepting these number of cases and daily deaths.

I am off to Tenerife soon and my wife is worried especially seeing me fill in all the forms just to get there
I had to tell her we will be much safer there than in the UK.
 
They've blindsided large swathes of the population to accept anything.....I am truly at a loss how they are getting away with such gross incompetence and wickedness....never imagined a clown could do that to so many

Depending on your levels of cynicism they have done either a very good or a very bad job.

They've managed to essentially get those who are worried about the disease itself and also those who don't believe its seriousness and/or in vaccines to shout loudly about their own points of view, while they carry on doing something or nothing. I'd hate to see what would've happened if the NHS hadn't taken over the vaccination programmes.
 
Rarely is our current performance compared to others highlighted in the media. Infection rates are shocking compared with other EU countries whom stick take significant precautions.

Likewise you here loony schnapps comments today about opening up travel now other countries have caught up on vaccination. Fact is, most EU countries are well ahead of the uk I'm vac race.

Government are beyond shame it seems. Some are so thick and ill informed that they appear not to know they are telling lies.

Sad indictment of the society the UK has become, that it soaks up b.s. by the bucket load

Have you all got your pay increases yet as promised by BJ? So you can start spending in the sunlit uplands😂

Just got back from germany. If its got a roof or a door you MUST wear a surgical ( not cloth or a visor)mask. We were let off without a fine by guards in a station with a canopy ( a roof!) as we played the stupid englishers.
Near 100% compliance. Back in the uk virtually no one wearing and we are heading into winter. Madness.
 
Just got back from France last week, Disneyland Paris specifically. Had to show Proof of vaccination via QR code daily to get a band which allowed us not to be checked again in the parks, this was as we stayed in a Disney hotel, otherwise they were checking as you entered every eating and drinking establishment and when entering Disney village / parks. Also, masks everywhere. Indoor and outdoor when walking about in the parks.

Parks capped at 50%, it was awesome.

I checked their daily cases when I got home, approx 5k in comparison to our 35k.

Not saying their measures are right, but they are working.
 
Essentially state run media now though isn't it?

Plus isn't everyone bored of covid now? Just like they were bored of brexit. The national psyche is that of a moody teenager.
