What can you say about that?

gutted as the players are for sure . Not good enough tonight and Coventry out muscled us... We were timid upfront and Archer and Akpom looked well marshelled and static .... Missed Johnny for sure,,,,, Negative thoughts are gonna creep in over the next few days about tonights performance but we need to be cool and thoughtful
It's been mostly a brilliant season from October onwards, but no matter what other posters say, we have struggled against decent teams who are up for it. I hope that is looked at during the summer, maybe we already have the personnel to overcome this but they just needed the experience to go with it, I hope this is the case.

Would shoite be alright ?
The chance to play at Wembley should have got a little more effort out of them, pathetic !

Absolutely awful. So many times Boro disappoint, not by losing but by just not giving the opposition a game.
It's fkin annoying. I don't mind losing, I hate not having anything to get excited about over 2 hours. Bummer

Coventry were well drilled and were able to break down our passing play and dribbling on too many occasions - possibly needed to take more risks in their half, although its not how we have played under Carrick.

Jones looked a bit sharper than Forss, possibly should have started with Jones and get some of their players booked early on.

Dreadful? Inept? Uninspiring? Tactically naive? Complete lack of coaching and ability to change?

Carrick spent the evening on the touchline drawing circles with his right hand, he made no impact on the game with his late and poor subs.

After approximately 900,000 crosses we're still not sure we can't score from a cross so we'll try a few more as that's certain to get us the goal we need.

This time last year everyone Chris wilder came out chucked a few players under the bus talked a load of b***ks and everyone on the board was eating it up.

Give me the tactically naive bloke who took us from **** all to the playoffs.

Our central midfield got dominated. We gave the ball away so many times in dangerous positions and eventually paid the price.

I dont think the run of injuries helped at all, they certainly contributed to us losing our way a bit towards the end of the season.

He had no answer tonight, they're not great and we offered f. all.

No plan B.

Changes after 60 that were wrong.

No Crooks until there were only a few minutes remaining?

He might have learnt from Sir Alex but he's nowhere close, tonight was a disgrace and he's the manager so he carries the can.

Am I wrong? Did we have a plan B? Did we make changes early on that stood a reasonable chance of success? Did we bring on our only attacking threat on the bench with more than minutes to go?

Get yourself to bed pal.

I agree, he should've brought Roberts, Fry and Bola on instead.

Yes you are wrong. Stick crooksy on? **** me. I thought pep was in Manchester. That's your plan B?

The only attacking threat he had on the bench was Crooks, he came on and more happened than in the previous 80 odd minutes.

If you're 1-0 at home in the play off semi final and you're going to bring Crooks on then why bring him on with minutes to go - it's entirely pointless and stupid.

Robins did a job on us, and Carrick didn’t have the answer.

Robins set them up predictably to sit in a deep block and hit us on the break, we’ve seen this plenty of times and should have been prepared for it but we weren’t. Time and time again we didn’t have anyone getting in behind them.

Smith should have been off at half time.

Maybe Crooks with more than a few minutes to go? Doesn't suit your sarcastic post though does it?

There's absolutely no evidence to suggest Crooks would have done anything more than Archer or Akpom. We are never just going to fling it into the box.

Raging about things that never happened as if you're right is ridiculous. Simple fact is our squad didn't have the depth to change a game with all our injuries.

Seriously? You think it's a disgrace that he didn't bring Matt crooks on earlier? That's your plan B? Are you the "it's all very nice but it's going nowhere" bloke?
