It was just a really, really sad effort. Played some breathtaking stuff under Carrick, absolutely wonderful stuff, but that tonight, was just really really sad.

Terrible tonight, Coventry were fantastic they deserve it. Our bench imo is nowhere near the standard needed to make an impact on games over the course of a season. I hope carrick can build on this given where he took us from when he took over.

Yep. Really unfortunate injuries at the wrong time. Forss and Fry too. Play-offs are not our bag really are they?

Onwards and upwards for next season. Gibson will back Carrick I'm sure and he'll have a clear idea of what we need. He'll have learnt a lot too.

No different to the last 10 games, too many individual errors, and opposition sussed us out, Some more then others know we dont like the physical side of the game.

It's up there with the effort against Villa under Pulis. We've played some wonderful football under Carrick, which makes it all the more galling.

We weren't terrible or awful. Coventry are a decent team. We have the better attack, they have the better defence. It went their way tonight could have gone ours. We had plenty of scruffy chances but it didn't drop for us.

We have fallen a lot since half time against Huddersfield when we were 1 point behind Sheffield United.

that's all folks as they say. Another season in the Championship, probably another helta skelter season but lots of excitement, just a shame we lost players at the crucial moments and perhaps some players lost form. It happens as they say.

2) I look forward to Josh playing a similar role as VG next season, VG is nearly 4 and half years older than Josh and had probably done less than JC in his career at an equivalent age.
3) Don't want Steffen to go now but on the bright side two good goalies are coming back
4) we may have seen the last of Giles, in my book he will be the biggest miss.
5) one of the 'development' 'players will be in the 1st team next year as hopefully a 15 goals a year player

Whooooooaaaahhhhhhh there. The playoff semis under Pulis were utter dog turd - Coventry narrowly won tonight and with a little bit of luck it could have been us.

gutted as the players are for sure . Not good enough tonight and Coventry out muscled us... We were timid upfront and Archer and Akpom looked well marshelled and static .... Missed Johnny for sure,,,,, Negative thoughts are gonna creep in over the next few days about tonights performance but we need to be cool and thoughtful

Not sure Coventry were THAT good? Yes obviously had our number on the night but only did what you'd expect any championship team to do...be well organised and aggressive as hell in one on ones?

We do seem to struggle against aggressive sides. Would like to see us savvier next season. Plenty of opportunities to roll VGs ankle tonight for example.
