What have Coventry done differently to us?

They sold their two star players after losing the play off final and after an indifferent start they currently sit 6th. Have the players they brought in settled better than our new signings or is Robins a very good manager? I suspect maybe a bit of both.

We lost our star number 10 and only brought in one as a replacement, barely played him in that position and then sold him in January.

We lost 2 strikers, only brought in 1 as a replacement and then started a player we were planning on loaning out ahead of him until he picked up an injury.

Don't think they had as big an overhaul of players as we did too. Not to mention us replacing most of them with inferior players.

We were never going to be able to replace Chuba. He scored more goals than anyone in half a century. What are the chances that having failed to unearth a goalscorer of his ilk for 50 years that they manage in the close season. Once Chuba was gone, the gig was all but up.

I don't think they have no where near the number of injuries we have had most championship teams would suffer with a similar number of injuries to key players

We signed Rogers as Akpom's replacement but rarely played him as a number 10 before selling him.

Simms and Wright probably a bit more proven than the forwards we bought in. Plus O'Hare coming back from his serious injury and firing straightaway really helped them.
