I've been pestering the wife for some time now regarding her Christmas present(s) and she's giving me no ideas whatsoever. There was a programme that showed wooden craft stalls on the tele and I said 'Would you like me to make you something?'

'Yes,' she replied, 'A whisky and ginger.'

Perhaps a spa day for her and a friend/sister/daughter so they can be pampered and spend some quality time with each other in a relaxed environment ?

Or tickets to see someone like a show at the globe or a comedian or a theatre show ?

See I read this as “ Want to buy the wife for Christmas” and I did consider bidding then thought one was enough and besides I’d have no idea what to buy her for Christmas
