Minutes after the Sydney attack a bunch of well known right wing folk tweeted that it was Muslims who caused the attack, spouting absolute vile nonsense, a few of them deleted said posts when it was realised it was a white Australian called Joe Cauchi with what's thought to be no terrorist motives. Rachel Riley has kept up said vile posts, when is Channel 4 going to reprimand her for her nonsense hateful posts?Screenshot_20240414_145807_Chrome.jpg

By far the saddest thing of the period since October has obviously been the death of 1000s of innocent people on both sides but the most depressing has been the absolute certainty of many normally sane people that they have right and justice on their side of the argument and that everything has to be linked to their goals

There is opposition among Jews to Zionism in Isreal itself and also worldwide.

Playing devil's advocate ... in that tweet she doesn't say that Sydney is an Islamist terror event nor part of a Global Intifada.

She does retweet the claim that the people marching in London in support of Palestinians are calling for Global Intifada and then says a global intifada would look like Sydney, not that it is the first attack.
Dogwhistle, probably.
Sackable, probably not.

While she doesn't say the Sydney stabbings were Islamic terrorism, she's clearly trying to use people's natural fear and revulsion about such a horrific attack on innocent people as a way to ramp up anti-islamic sentiment even though Muslims had nothing to do with this particular attack. She's peddling a false narrative in pursuit of a political agenda.
