Where is Erimus74?

Why is it that he's being 'bashed' when he's actually just being called out for what others perceive as inconsistencies in his political outlook or criticising his views, as is their right to do so. The idea that there's some left wing mob on here chasing people out is absolute nonsense. You might be in the minority if you're left wing on this particular board but I wouldn't say I was chased out of COB when I briefly posted on there for being in the minority and I guarantee I was given worse stick than Erimus gets on here. People reserve the right to comment on his choice to leave as they do the views he's espoused or refused to justify.

I love Erimus' posts about boro and our fan base is richer for having someone so dedicated to the history of our football club. I'd have a pint with him and stay off the topic of politics, no drama.

However let's not act as though he's some innocent or he's not a grown man capable of defending himself, if he chooses not to post on here then that's his own choice, seems like a bit of a flounce to me. "Oh people are being saying nasty things about me because I have views they don't like." Some people are so incredibly precious and it often strikes me as those who don't want to acknowledge the reality of what their views mean.

He did indeed make many a comment about Brexit. I remember, I was on the threads.
He did boycott the WC over players taking a knee but couldn't or wouldn't substantiate the reasoning to a degree that seemed to hold up to any basic level of questioning or criticism.

I've been called many things on here. I once had to ask Rob about potentially contacting the police due to an issue with someone on here.

Still here.

just had a peek at oneboro and he is been hailed a hero on there ... looks like we have lost a massive source of knowledge and entertainment with his posts... tad sad really

It'd be good to get another Boro memorabilia exhibition setup with his input. I missed the last one due to work.

I imagine if he comes over and sees this thread it'll make his mind up for him, if he was thinking of coming back!
Well so be it. If he reads a thread of people in the vast majority saying regardless of their feelings on his politics that they’re sad he’s not contributing anymore and value his knowledge and content but reserve the right to disagree with and ask questions of the things he says, on the internet, then what the bloomin heck else can anyone want? A record of apology from all those who dare to disagree or have offended him? I wouldn’t imagine so.

I would say I am not happy to vote for any of the political parties in England at present. It is frustrating because I believe that ordinary people should vote and get strongly involved in how they are governed/misgoverned.

Surely there are degrees of dissatisfaction though? You're absolutely right, people should vote. And while often we don't completely align with the policies of a single party, surely it's better to vote for the 'best fit' than not at all?
