Which managers are available?

Probably not many decent ones which might keep wilder in a job longer than the start otherwise would.

Can’t think of anyone I’d particularly be excited about;

Scott Parker
JFH
Clough JR

Massive Wilder fan could not believe we got him as our new manager last season and was certain he would get us promoted last season or this but having a few doubts now :) not sure if there is anyone better available atm although part me is quite envious that Sunderland got Mowbray unfortunately and I doubt he will be available any time soon. So reckon we have to stick with Wilder but I do actually still think he will come good!

Stick with the manager. Let him build. Three years used to be a good amount of time for someone to come in and change the whole squad to their liking. Give him the next two windows to try and get us closer to promotion. It's been a big overhaul and we need more. If we're in a similar position in a year's time after two more windows fair enough.

If he's supported I think he will get us there eventually.

He does have to revert to two upfront though for me. And he does have to use what's been given to him. We look a little stale and predictable already.

Would love to see back to two forwards and forss and hope getting some regular introductions from the bench to try and freshen things up a bit.

I very much doubt he’ll stick around that long. Burnley turned his head. He’ll go if a better team show interest.

Maybe that could be part of the problem?

If that's the case then we're obviously better off moving on. He's been a success everywhere else. But if the Burnley thing was as big as it has been me tioned on here then that will have lost him some respect from players.

Things like that can have a big effect.

It was a big thing. He spoke to them and wanted to go. It’s no coincidence we’ve been utter garbage since.

You can only work with the tools you have and while we've brought in a lot of players many of them have been sat in neutral for months maybe years. For instance, Clarke has played first team football for over 2 years, Mowatt doesn't look like he wants to play. Muniz was or is a periphery for Fulham, Hoppe hasn't played hardly anything [other than his guitar] and Forss is still in learn mode. So did we really add to this team in terms of quality and leadership? No we didn't is the quick answer. I think Giles has been the best addition so far, along with Lenihan but it's very difficult assessment to make of the new players other than they're very average.

Following the Gibbo cycle we are likely to get a complete novice in next - Leadbitter? Then get on the phone to big Sam when it starts going wrong.

Then back to a progressive manager who ends up flopping because of a completely imbalanced squad and poor recruitment.

It’s like a terrible sequel to Groundhog Day.

I didn't take much notice when it was all going on. Thought it was just rumours. If that's genuine then that's gonna cause problems in the dressing room definitely

Literally any other manager who wasn’t interested in the job would have came out and said so in his very first press conference. It took him three. If Kompany hadn’t said yes he’d have gone.

Given the situation we are in we need to see if Dyche is available.

It‘s a massive backwards step but Wilder isn’t working. In fact he’s a charlatan and isn’t going to turn this around. There are deep issues at the club, which run deeper than the manager, but it’s becoming apparent now that Gibson didn’t want to give him any money to waste/spend.

I don’t know if changing he manager will do any good, you need to find the right fit at the right time. Look at Cooper at Forest last season, we need to find that.

Dyche is a better manager than Wilder.
