Who has heard the rumour Carrick has only been offered a deal until May 2023?

Why are people in a flap about carrick? We all know he’s agreed to come and we are trying to nail down his coaching team.
 
As above, only heard that he's on a 3 year deal, which is longer than we've offered most managers recently.

There’s nothing concrete though. As far as I can see it’s just that’s he’s rumoured to be taking the job.

I believe it’s more or less a done deal, but the fact it’s dragging on and he hasn’t been seen at the game today suggests that still nothing is imminent.
 
In what reality would you not want to watch the team you are about to be responsible for if you were actually coming? Surely that suggests a lack of interest in the job. What commitment would an unemployed coach and prospective employee have elsewhere at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon?

Other than the fact he did watch the game at the Riverside Vs Watford...🙄
 
the fact he still hasn’t been announced yet is a bit of a mystery. But if it really was in jeopardy you’d be able to bet on other managers for the job, and last time I checked, you couldn’t.
