Paul Simon for me. He sang Homeward Bound and American tune absolutely brilliantly.

Kenneth Williams, David Niven, Peter Ustinov in particular.
All of the old Hollywood stars too like Fred Astaire, James Stewart, Bing Crosby, James Cagney and Pat O'Brien, Bette Davis and Lauren Bacall.
Not much of it on YT, hopefully if they haven't been wiped, there'll be a DVD release of them.

So so many were top class and engaging for very different reasons. Billy Connolly‘s debut on his show was brilliant, but so was so many others for different reasons.

Robert Mitchum. It was on YouTube years ago but is gone now. After answering questions monosyllabically he then tells a story of being trapped by an annoying and aggressive drunk in a restaurant. He then goes into detail explaining how he grabbed the guy's tie and pulled him down, smacking his head on the table, then takes his fork and stabs him under the chin, pushing the fork into his tongue then twisting it so he can't speak. Parkinson looks at him all open mouthed in disbelief, "You're joking." Mitchum takes a draw on his cigarette, "Yup." A genius performance.

Peter Kay, he brought Parky a lollipop stick and a coat as he was retiring. Think David Beckham was on the show also at the same time.

Found the clip Billy Connolly was on it also.

So many can’t choose.

Never forget also, Parkinson was a founder member and major donor of the Anti-Nazi League.
