Wilder Rumours

The only people who think wilders a top manager are Chris wilder and Diego who said he's the best manager in the championship barr none.

I can't see a premier League team entertain him as manager even Bournemouth. He really isnt that good or well thought of. I would be happy to see the back of the miserable twàt his dour demeanor and manner is terrible it's as if we should be grateful he's lowered himself to work at a club like Middlesbrough
I said when he arrived that I hoped he'd be one of our longest serving managers, meaning he'd be a success here & stop this to often manager change over, sadly & IMHO, he's no better than Neil Warnock

Maybe its just a rumour & I made it all up 😉

I didn’t like the knives being out early doors last season for Neil Warnock, I think he had a tough start with injuries to our back four and thought it was best to stick by our manager as there were clear signs of him being able to turn it round.

Now I find myself on the other side of the fence, I don not think Chris Wilder can turn it round, something is fundamentally wrong right now whether he’s had his head turned, the recruitment are working against him.. or (what I’m inclined to believe) he’s not quite as good as he likes to make out.

There we’re a few signs last season that he had an issue, failing to adjust tactically when necessary, player selection has been questionable when there have been other options available and as much as Warnock was criticised for blaming anyone but himself.. Wilder is ten times the beast!!

Criticising the recruitment team when that is something he is very much part of is a bit of a shot in the foot, talking about receiving abuse from fans during games where he received nothing if the sort is a massive red flag for me. He thinks he’s hot shyt, but he’s not, he talks the big game, but he can’t back it up.

The vibe has gone from Wilder, the emperor’s clothes are there for everyone to see. He flashed hard, he dazzled us with his glistening Sheffield United premier league hype.. now his wrinkly balls are out and I find it difficult to look him in the eyes or take anything he does seriously.

Last season Nottingham Forest binned off Chris Hughton and I thought they were mad.. turned out alright for them. Get him in the sea, get him in the tees, he is not bridge and he is definitely not parmo!

My knives were out at the end of the previous season, he should have been bumped in the summer, for someone less dinosaur-tastic

CW's little snipes at the club set up and Burnleygate will make it hard for him to continue in the long run.

There has definitely been an air of negativity and more importantly a dip in form since the Burnley episode.

I had high hopes when CW was appointed - he seemed to be the perfect fit but the moment it just doesn't seem to be working out.

There is certainly something wrong at the club though none of us know for sure exactly where the problem lies.

I continue to try to keep an open mind on Wilder but the team’s run of form has been dreadful and unless things turn around fairly soon he will pay the price for this.

Do we really know if Wilder is very much a part of recruitment?

If so which part?

Recruitment has been the big issue for quite some time and the acquisition of Scott, who you may have thought would have prioritised this issue, seems to have had negligible impact.

The rumours come about because of the sh.it job wilder has done so far. He has a very high regard of himself and he chose to stay quiet with the Burnley rumours even thought bookies were putting him up there for weeks on end - a lot of trust with the fans was lost because of his arrogant refusal to deny it. no smoke without fire, and all that.

Why the fu.ck would Bournemouth take a punt on him? He hasnt got any track record for recovering a team in the premier league. Personally, I genuinely believe Warnock is more likely to get that job. At least he has experience in saving a team from relegation.
Wilder over achieved in the first season in the prem with Sheff Utd then they dropped like a stone and were bottom of the league until relegated.

He said: “Yeah, we speak and see each other near enough every day and especially through the busy period of the window we can speak half a dozen times a day.

“It’s important that relationship is right.

“We discuss and we debate and we’re not always on the same page for certain bits and pieces.

“That’s healthy.

“But the reason he wanted me here is he felt he could work with me and I felt I could with him. I believe in him and he believes in me and it’s a relationship that is strong.

“It’s a working relationship.

“He’s aggressive and he’s ambitious as much as I am in terms of wanting to do well as a football club.”

Also from that article/interview..

Suggesting that, the ceiling of what he could achieve with Boro in the coming years is even higher than what he did with the Blades, where he won two promotions in three seasons before earning a ninth placed finish in the Premier League.

If their early business is anything to go by it is certainly an exciting time to be a Middlesbrough supporter as they chase down promotion in the second half of the campaign.

- still no idea why our fans would have expectations of us being outside of the bottom three! How dare we! What a bunch of idiots we all are!!
