Wilders mackem presser ...

Wouldn't it make a refreshing change, if the manager (or maybe even Bauser / Gibson) came out and threw some light on why / how the "2 midfielders & 1 striker" Wilder wanted never materialised !

Thinking about it, apart from keeran scott speaking to us via mfc.co.uk about a year ago, when did we last hear from NB and/or SG ?

MFC's interaction with the fans on anything, really is pi$$ poor !

Perhaps the journalists could ask questions that aren't moronic and illicit a yes or no response....
Maybe how are you feeling ahead of this game personally
What can this team achieve this season....

Something that makes him talk

S
I don't give a shi==:the tickets are expensive and people are committing to massive expense. How much is a game with 2 adults and a kid when you've just been told to pay 300+ for your gas?
So you'd be quite happy for Gibson to plough even more money into the club to reduce ticket prices ?

How long do you think he'd be able or willing to do that?

Ticket prices are too high I don't disagree but they are the only source of any significant income for the club so I don't have the answer to the problem.

How would you suggest they do that? Seriously you just cannot force someone to answer a question. It is 9am Saturday there are not going to be many reporters there.
Am going to give up my 400 parkrun to go.

Wish I had the choice of direct access to CW to ask the questions everyone on this board wants to know the answers to……. or a jog around a park…… but good luck ….. whatever your decision.

cant help feeling deflated after transfer deadline ... Giles and Muniz are highlights ... others average including Steffan who I have doubts about shot stopping in particular .. for a club wanting a top 2 finish or in play offs and raking in 24 mill from two players then cant help feeling tad bewildered ... sure CW is same ...

He clearly doesn't like our young players. He had a slight dig about their attitude in his Watford press conference - went on about how keen Muniz is compared to our academy players. Why do that?
He might be right, young players going through the motions when they need to be pushing for a starting place and working hard to keep it. They are on their football careers now.. it’s not something that starts in a few years time. A few years time is getting released, playing northern league, working in sports direct and putting on 2 stone of fat.

How about “you said you needed to bring in 3 players and that we had the funds to do something really big if we wanted to. With the window now closed and the academy players not up to scratch.. will you now be looking at free agents to fill those spots?

Like it or not, you're the voice of the Boro fans. So in all honesty you should be there.

newyddion's question would be a good one. You've said in another thread that you come last and some of the questions you'd pencilled in were already asked. The less reporters there equals more chance of you getting a hit.

But utilising who what where when and how you are giving them the opportunity to be expansive ...at least then it's obvious it's not rhe journos questions but the managers mood that is thr problem....
It highlights the manager rather than give rhe manger the chance to make the journalist look the silly one.....

Thats all I'm saying ...make them talk by using open ended questions

Chris Wilder in very determined mood this morning at press conference. No questions dodged. We were frustrated at the end of the window but yes his underlining message is he is still optimistic about our prospects.

Our young players that some are now turning their attentions to as suitable first team squad members and contributors to the first team got dumped out of the cup at home to lower league Barnsley.

They're nowhere near good enough for the Championship at all, never mind in a squad or team trying to get promoted.

Do you think Boyd-Munce, Bilongo, Hackney, Gibson, Dodds and Finch would get anywhere near Watford, Burnley or Norwich's squad?

Not a chance.

Pinning hopes on young kids that aren't ready or not good enough is papering over the cracks of not being effective in the transfer market.
We are talking about 1 or 2 of the young lads coming into the squad as subs or the odd game, not a wholesale team change like we saw against Barnsley.

Was he ever going to say anything different.....
stating the bleeding obvious I'd say

You mean like when sonny finch was on bench at qpr, but decided to put square pegs in round holes by pushing crooks up front, and stopping our momentum 🤔
