Wilders Watford Meltdown

You‘re going to have to explain that post to me unless I’m thick and have missed something obvious?!
Wilder riding Warnock’s wave got a few good results in the cup.. mainly down to Warnock’s players. If we had stuck with Warnock we would go ave ditched the cup and made the playoffs.

The hatred for Wilder aside, there is actually something in what he is alluding to.
I've never understood how the Watford model could yield long term success. He talks about 20 individuals and them not being a team, how could they be when they change managers so frequently, and presumably with each change comes a change of style, formation, tactics etc.
The players must get to the point where they don't give a stuff about what the manager is trying to achieve, they know he'll be gone soon and it will be all change.
I'm no Wilder fan, but there have been better managers than him sacked by Watford, some good Managers too, and with each sacking, being sacked by them becomes less relevant to a manager's CV.
No, Wilder is an irrelevance to me, it's the Watford ownership and the Watford model that I really dislike.
Put it another way its only wilders hubris which would make him believe He alone could succede where 6 men in two years have failed. He thinks he's a footballing messiah the arrogance is astonishing

Has anyone come across @louorns on twitter before? A Watford and EFL fan, and for someone who’s seems to think they know a lot about football, obsessing over stats etc he seems to be completely fooled by Wilder’s ‘honesty’.

It’s plain as day what he’s trying to do with these interviews. He doesn’t want to be there, it’s harming his precious CV.
Louorns…..He’s an absolute bellend, I dared question some of his football views, so he threatened me. So I said fine let’s meet up. His response was “do you know who your messing with”, followed by “I’ve been to prison, you should be worried”, followed by “I’d stab you within 5 mins if you came to Croydon”. The guys an absolute plank.

He claims he gets paid for his football knowledge, meaning Someone’s given him 50 quid to appear on a podcast. The reality is that he just knows how to use an excel pivot table and produce some graphs. He still stands by wilder as the best manager in the championship and Payero should be at a champs league team due to his excellent high press.

He’s a fantasist and a fool.

This. 100%. A basket case of a club recognised by 90% of their own fanbase. You just have to read their message board to learn that Wilder is an irrelevance. The hatred is for their board. The model of changing the coach like the bedsheets is coming home to roost for them I’m afraid. Not that I care. It’s my local (ish) club and I’ve never had a soft spot for them at all.

A snake will speak the truth when it suits him and that seems to be what Wilder is doing here. That said, the reason the players are not following instructions is because they have no faith in Wilder and the reason for that is partly Wilder's but mostly the club's. Getting through managers quicker than toilet paper means the players have zero reason to pay attention especially as they know he'll be gone in a few weeks. Absolute basket case of a club right now.

Undoubtedly Wilder still has enough of an ego that he thought he could get the squad with the most "superstars" in the league firing and into the play-offs. Now though he is just trying to ensure that he doesn't get blamed for the failure; the fact that he is doing the worst of any Watford manager in recent times is something he has to distract attention from.

Bloody hell, I wasn’t expecting that! When was this?

He comes out with some terrible opinions and does think he seems to be the expert of everything Championship related. He suggested that the league is average this year apart from Burnley and… Swansea, of all teams… Swansea 😂

He really and truly is a loathsome unaware narcissistic penile wart of a football manager.
He may be a decent person socially who knows but football wise he is absolutely loathsome...the mask is off...the real wilder is being displayed.

I wish him nothing but demoralising defeats for his career in Scotland...

But with his money in the bank it hardly matters wether he succeeds or not frankly...

December : Watford will finish 3rd and win playoffs as they are dead good.

April : What a bag of shyte they all are, even my CV couldn't polish it. Shocked at how the club is run, players aren't trying etc etc

Everyone knew how this would pan out apart from Wilder, makes him even more of a bellend.

But walk away with a good few grand in the bank, and honestly think his "reputation" won't be that tarnished because of the basket case of a club Watford is.
