My first thought is to not renew I'll be honest. The football hasn't been great and i don't come away feeling entertained and feeling like i had an enjoyable time.
I understand for some people it's tribal and you go regardless of what the product is, show your support thick and thin but from a personal opinion having been a ST holder on and off for the last 25 years i can and i do pick and choose when to get a ST.

It's already expensive for me to take the 2 kids, so another price increase is going to hurt even more - especially at the notice they're wanting my money

The fact every game is available to watch at home is another thing thats going to sway my decision here, and its something the club has to think about when making these price hikes.

Yes the experience of going to the game, the tribalism, the habit, the passion, the social aspect etc but there has to be a point financially where people stand up and say no, and i think this it it for me.

I'll renew and can't imagine a scenario where I wont now.

Had a few years when the kids were babies where I needed to work Saturdays to take time off during the week to lighten the childcare bill, but now that is over ill sign up regardless.

Last season I was 50/50 and then the price increase was announced. I have one son who wants to go regularly and one who is still deciding whether he enjoys it.

I decided to just do walk ups this season and have ended up only missing 3 home matches so far taking one son to all the same games as me. He got the bug and was enjoying it I was pretty much decided that I would get STs next year because obviously it's cost effective. I've already spent in excess of £600 in walk up tickets this season. I could have had STs for circa £750. Can't remember the exact amount.

Now I'm looking at these prices, looking at what we've done in the last two transfer windows and just think that they are taking the p1ss. No chance.

Regardless? So if they increase 5-10% every season would you continue to renew? I'm not having a go or being chewy im just wondering if you have a figure in mind that if you saw as the price for your renewal would make you seriously think twice.

The few lads i've spoke to about renewing have almost all said they're gonna renew but they only have single adult tickets. The 2 lads i know take their sons have both said they'll think about it.

I think its nice that we're seeing people understanding those who are debating not renewing because of the increase and not seeing any 'You're obviously not a proper fan' nonsense.

This is it. It really hits families. The exact people they should be trying to get in the stadium. They are the future. So short sighted it's unbelievable

I wouldn't if it was just me - but my lad loves it like I used to do, so I will.
I've got no choice, I'm addicted.
These are 2 tactics the club are praying on. Emotional blackmail and addiction 🤣

Yeah i've said for a long time U11 should be free. It can be policed, the stewards at my North stand turnstile are always there looking that the colour that flashes up matches the person walking in. Should be so much more done for TJFA clubs and school kids in and around the TS postal areas.

Obviously finances may at a point come into consideration as my wife and 2 sons (10 and 12) attend, so it certainly isn't cheap, but its our favourite family activity, so at present its value for money

When you see other clubs having tiered kids prices - for U5s/10s/16s/18s etc......Boro do take the absolute p*ss.

Cheapest walk up for a 10yr old £21-23......ouch.

Could spectacularly backfire, kids being priced out will mean they find other things to do on match days. Or worse, start to follow another team - Man City, Arsenal etc. 😬😬

I’m the same I’ll also renew regardless but they know that they know we won’t give it up that’s why they push it as they know we won’t say no even if we wish we could.

I think for some others though this will make them say no. And FairPlay, they are entitled to do so. It’s a mockery really

Yeah fair enough. I think everyone has a figure in mind and i definitely could afford a £30 increase i just don't agree with it, not sure the entertainment and enjoyment is there to warrant an increase.

Me and the boys will just watch it at home without the long walk back along dockside road 🤣

I will be yes but not in the early bird stage as I can’t afford to pay out £510 in the next 3 weeks 🤷🏻‍♂️
There'll be so many people in this boat.

Yeah im 99% i'll be saying No. I'm not looking forward to telling the kids as they'll be devastated.

I'm really undecided.
It's not that we'll miss out promotion, but I've forgotten the good feeling of going home after a good display. It's poor at the moment and I struggle to see what will kick start us into a good run. However the biggest factor is my disenchantment with football currently, poor officials, changes to rules, off-side, goal kicks, VAR (I know not in this league) players falling over pathetically, time wasting 'injuries' to manage the game. It used to be a fair contest between two sides.
I've opened myself up for criticism I know, but that's how I'm feeling.

Me and my lads will be renewing by eldest just goes over 21 category so is a bit gutted it’s nearly doubled for him ouch
