Wing watch- Huddersfield

My fear for Lewis is physicality, he simply can't move quickly as I think he is incredibly knock kneed.
I think he has ability and vision and can strike a football better than most of the team. Unfortunately the game passes him by. I don't think he's lazy, I just don't think he can move well enough.
I think it is a real shame.
I really hope I'm wrong too...

You are right, if he he has the mobility and drive of let’s say Howson he would be in the team. But he can’t keep up with play and get around the pitch. It’s a shame as he clearly can pass and strike a ball. I don’t want to sound disrespectful but I think this really holds him back and I think we will be the best team he ever plays for. I think his career will end up on a downward trajectory once he leaves us but I do hope he can do a job when he gets brought on this season. Hopefully he has at least 1 more worldly goal in before his contract expires.

I'd agree drive is something he's missing, except when he gets the ball in open play. But yesterday the twist turn long ball into just the right place was something we don't see from (m)any of our players who seem to need longer on the ball to decide (McNair and Saville). It's a shame that with minutes to go, neither Akpom or Britt were facing goal! Thought he made a good clearance as well yesterday when he looked second to get to the ball.

I'd say Wing should never play for the Boro again if he played as badly as Saville yesterday.

Saville was woeful, really bad. But thankfully he has largely been excellent since Warnock came in. He had a bad game but we did as a team, ive got nothing against Wing I used to think he should be in the team when was Pulis was gaffer but I think a career at a worse club beckons for the lad. As Indeedido said, I hope I am wrong and you will see my openly admit it on here if I am. Just as I did with Bola

He has. I think there was one game (after an International?) where he had a similar game. Giving the ball away before their second goal was the low point. I thought they had some decent players, most of whom would improve our team. Although I thought Stearman was our best player by some way.

I think the number of games Saville and McNair played for Northern Ireland, plus the three games for us this week, caught up with them yesterday.

Maybe Wing could do a job further forward just off a striker, he clearly has an eye for a goal and pass, but doesn't have the energy to be a midfield player in a Warnock side.

But, yes you all say that, but where has the player gone from two years ago when he made himself a mainstay in Pulis' midfield (some would say against Pulis' wishes as he signed a number of midfielders to play ahead of him) and was one of our best players?
