Well just got back from Headingley and it was freezing!
Yorks never looked like taking 10 wickets, the pitch played very well all day apart from a couple that bounced high or low but not many. Leicester batted sensibly and apparently it is their first win at Headingley for over 100 years in county champs - so I can say I witnessed history.
Desperately need a fit (non England playing) Fisher as there isnt much pace otherwise - not that he is express any more. After watching Bairstow hobble through a warm up routine I would be very surprised if he is fit for start of England series never mind playing a couple of Yorks games as a warm up.
Declaration seemed right at time leaving 86 overs so having a second go with new ball, but according to Coad the bal goes very soft after 10 or so overs but keeps its shape and therefore umpires wont change it.
It was a good days cricket with Leics always slightly ahead but any result was possible until very near end.
