Yorkshire CCC

Went yesterday and was impressed with the attacking batting. Over from Ahmed taken for 22 by Bean in the morning session being the highlight.

I am hoping Leicester make a game of it so I can go and watch a good finish on Sunday (not looking likely as 2 down already)

Edt looking even less likely 3 down at tea still needing another 270 to avoid follow on

They've been struggling for years. Yorkshire won't need to bat again.

Good knock for Durham at Sussex as well, good run rates for the north east sides.

Hopefully should be a cracker when they meet in early May. Just hope it is a bit warmer than yesterday - my teeth were actually chattering by the close.

Easy to get to Chester Le Street - X12 direct from Stockton or Middlesbrough (make sure you are on a through service to Newcastle and not one that terminates in Durham) only £2 each way
That's worth knowing, I can see myself packing a picnic and having a day out.

I was recently saying to the wife that it is ages since I watched any cricket.

There's a good greasy spoon and a pie shop on the High Street which Lefty introduced me to a few years back. Well worth a visit.
What are they called as I always end up slumming it at Subway or Greggs when I go. Are you going up for any of the days of local derby county championship match in May?

Advice for anyone going to derby, don't make mistake I did for Yorkshire game a few years ago thinking you will get straight in (as is normally the case for county championship games) as queues were very long each morning due to the number of Yorkshire fans there and only 1 pay on the day turnstile open. Loads open if you were a Durham member to just show your card but they made us stand in a long queue and so missed start of play on day I went.

Just about to set off to see Thornaby's last hope of staying up in Northern League
