Got this a month or so ago, however when i’ve went to use my playstation, its getting ridiculously slow speeds (4mbps) so is effectively useless. Does anyone know what to do?
Yeah never had a problem with them other than their prices.Have you tried Virgin Media
Is this wired or Wi Fi?Yeah never had a problem with them other than their prices.
Spoke to Youfibre and they basically said my ps4 only has 2.4ghz whereas it needs to be 5ghz for youfibre
Yeah tried this but the option button doesnt do anything. Apparently this is only available on the slim/pro ps4 and the ps5Is this wired or Wi Fi?
If it`s wifi can`t you go in to set up connection and the choose 5ghz only instead of the 2.5ghz option?
Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection > Use Wi - Fi > Easy > (Wait for connections to load) > Scroll down to your network connection > (Look at the bottom of the screen and choose "Options Menu" ) > Wi - Fi Frequency Bands > (By default your frequency will be set to Automatic (2.5ghz)) > Select 5ghz only.
That should be job done
That’s correct. You will have to use a wired connection to get fast speeds with the original ps4 as it doesn’t support 5ghz.Yeah tried this but the option button doesnt do anything. Apparently this is only available on the slim/pro ps4 and the ps5
ah ok, hope you get it sortedYeah tried this but the option button doesnt do anything. Apparently this is only available on the slim/pro ps4 and the ps5
2.4ghz would still get a lot faster than 2-4mbps and eero is compatible with 2.4ghz anyway? - you'd still be getting numbers well north of 100mbps on 2.4ghz, which has much longer range than 5ghzYeah never had a problem with them other than their prices.

Why is that?Unfortunately the supplied Eero is a pretty poor router.
Cheapness thats why. I had many incarnations virgins superhubs and always used my own router to get better performance. The eero is a decent plug and play router but its absolutely crippled in terms of configuration controls. Its good for maybe 90% of customers but if you want change settings for advanced use cases your screwed. When i moved to youfibre again i used my own router a pfsense box instead of the eero. Recently i upgraded youfibre to 2000mbs they provided a top end asus router which has been brilliant with advanced features like qos, vpn servers etcWhy is that?
It is often said about the routers that companies provide when you take their broadband but I'd imagine that they'd want a decent product so that their customers have decent service.
Is it the AX6000 router? How good is the WiFi on it? It looks pretty high end but I currently use a mesh network with three nodes that works pretty well for me.Cheapness thats why. might be tv set to 2.5g and the youfibre is inly 5g. just go to tv network setting and change to 5g connection. happened to me.Phone im getting 300+ which is fine. But my ps4 and firestick which are in the same room are getting 4-8. Im thinking its something to do with the eevo router and it not covering that part of the room as well
No its the asus et12. One node covers my 4bed house pretty well.Is it the AX6000 router? How good is the WiFi on it? It looks pretty high end but I currently use a mesh network with three nodes that works pretty well for me.
Youfibre eero is 2.4 & 5ghz combined, I think you can't just specify different networks without enabling their compatability mode / legacy device mode which slows it down a bitmight be tv set to 2.5g and the youfibre is inly 5g. just go to tv network setting and change to 5g connection. happened to me.
