The most exciting thing for me is. Carrick can make him a superstar if the kid wants to be. He was one of the most underrated midfielders for years, Carrick was world class on his day. And I love the fact he sees how much potential the young lad has.

Almost certain he’ll have a dip in performance after 12 to 15 games I’d imagine….they always do so MC will be watching and manage that I’m sure….

What's really good about the kid, is he knows when to give the simple ball when he's under pressure, generally wants to give a positive pass forward.
Off the top of my head I think he played one single long diagonal ball, the rest was short stuff.
I only remember this because I was thinking at the time during the game, has he got long range passing in his game, the answer was yes, he found his man.
