Zack Steffen - A Swift Word

Just watched Owen's latest interview on his 'A Swift Word' series... this time with Steffen.

What a lovely lad. Comes across really well, said he loves Middlesbrough and the area. Great stuff and a good watch. Well done Owen again, too! 👏

I note many think it would not be possible to sign him because of the wages, so i would guess another loan is likely. Not sure who would take him in the summer from the premier league. Same goes for Giles.

Someone on BBC Tees claimed Steffen refuses to sign autographs for young kids.
But I'm gonna say. Watching his interview and knowing that he voluntarily attended an event for disabled children before Christmas and I seen literally hundreds of pictures and lovely comments I find it hard to believe.
Seems a lovely man

People make up rubbish - he also attended a food bank collection and gladly posed for photos and signed autographs.

I felt like the texter was trying to jump on the 'Steffen is crap' bandwagon we bizzarly have despite being third and him being a major part of it.
Slating football ability is one thing, actively trying to dirty the good reputation he's got for himself as a person is another.
Another tester texted in saying their child had pictures with him and he gave his time and is a genuinely nice man.

Great interview that.

I got the impression he already knows he'll be leaving City at the end of the season. Think he has 2 more years left on his contract, but sounds like he could be off come the summer.

What I will say about this squad and coaching team, the community days seem to be even more frequent than before and we were always top class at it anyway.
All the squad seem genuinely happy to meet the fans and all come across fantastically in interviews.
Unbelievable unity from the top right down.
When an entire unit from board to fans is pulling in one direction its hard to stop. All credit to Carrick and everyone involved for that because if you'd have told me that in September I'd have laughed

Echo the sentiments, he is a really nice guy. I met Darnell Fisher on Saturday near to where I sit, and he seemed a really nice guy too, very amiable.
