Can't remember the Majestic
We'll thanks for that, I thought I didn't realise it had been almost 12 months later, why?Neither can I but interesting that it was showing Zulu a full year after it was released in London in January 1964. Did it take that long for films to be shown in the provinces in the 1960's?
Yes, great filmMy Dad took me to see Zulu but I donāt think it was at the Majestic (didnāt that become a bingo hall at some point?).
Its the only film he ever took me to see, he must have wanted to see it himself.
I thought it was brilliant, still do whenever I see it, werenāt there loads of Victoria Crosses given out?

Wasn't it the most ever in a single battle?
It did the rounds a number of times over the years. I saw it at the ABC around 72.We'll thanks for that, I thought I didn't realise it had been almost 12 months later, why?
Said Michael Caine in a cockney accent, NEVER.āDonāt throw those bloody spears at Meā
Im sure my mam went to the bingo at the Majestic as well, and she was always talking afterwards about āsweatingā for the big one!I remember the Majestic well. My mam and auntie played bingo there every Sunday night. As soon as I passed my driving test, the old lady made a deal that I could borrow her old banger on a night until I could save up enough money to pay for my own and in return I had to drive them to and from the bingo once a week.
Hence every Sunday night I'd have to drop the pair of them off and then pick them back up and be regaled with tales of all the times they were 'sweating for one number!'
Bless her, wish she was still here for me to be able to smile and shake my head at their Sunday night gossiping.
