That’s it then. No Deal

What a completely ignorant comment - shows your complete lack of understanding of historical events and a childish use of terms which show your inability to contribute to an adult discussion.
If you think the future of 60 million people can be reduced to adolescent name calling Im glad you`re not in any position of power or authority to influence our lives.
Stick to waving the Union Flag on street corners.
To be fair roofie no one would call this thread an adult discussion.

You are getting lots of bites but I wonder if you are up to mischief......is this a serious statement?:)
You will find this "Character" has a history. This from December 2nd:

FAO Rob

"I never said it had anything to do with COVID... It was more to do with his view on politics and him banning anyone that had an opposite view. I would love to move on as much as the next person... but my account here is still restricted in that it takes ages to log in, ages to open a post and..."

Well we are out of the EU and have been for some time, so I accept it and hope we do get some sort of deal. If not lets hope we can rebuild our manufacturing and build something for the future of our citizens.

Its no use throwing our hands up in the air, that wont get us anywhere.
I dont want things to go bad, theres too many good young people who have their whole future in front of them, and I would like them to have opportunities to have progress and a good life.

Id like to think we can develop and train people in skills and we can become more than just a financial hub and service industry.
Perhaps we have give far to many industries up and sat on our asres to long.
Maybe its time to roll our sleeves up, thats one thing given the chance we are good at.

Ticker, whilst an admirable ambition, that is exactly the view that those driving this agenda want you to have. Industry in the UK is dead for a reason (it can be done cheaper elsewhere with poorer working conditions and pitiful wages). By all means, leaving the EU allows us to compete with those conditions/wages but is that really the future we want for this country? Further exploitation of the working class to line the pockets of those who own the machinery of industry?

Unfortunately War rhetoric is one that a lot of brexiteers are more comfortable with, it's simple, black and white, good and bad, us and them. Let's face it it's what was tapped into by those ( dare I say the real elite)who are about to gain from the shambles that is about to flow.

Well said.

This smells of utter Brexit drivel: nonsensical, argumentative, utterly unconnected with the issue and, of course, a reference to the second world war.

Well done, you've reached idiot level 1

Thanks Do I get a medal? Nice to see you remainers are so tolerant of those that hold different opinions.... very Woke.

Not at all: This was your post and the "FAO Rob" was the title of the thread!
How you behave and respond clearly has been a problem for you in the past.
We all observe boundaries.

The main point is your complete lack of understanding of history and the resort to the use of terms which explain nothing - and just label peoples opinions which you disagree with.
To use your retort: "Classy".

I wont engage in a playground argument.
Thats not my forte`.

Nothing more embarrassing than someone talking about a war that ended 20 years before they were born

I dont have to wave a flag and I fully understand Field Marshall Montgomery`s role in the remaining days of Britains Imperial Empire.
Its with irony, juxtaposed to my own beliefs - which lead me to adopt his face as an avatar.
"Remainers" - I see no relevance to the discussion and I would strongly advise you NOT to make assumptions. (y)

Ok Roofie, Have a nice day

To quote a wag on twitter just now:

"The EU have someone smartly dressed who looks like they know their brief, we send a xenophobic f***wit who looks like Worzel Gummidge."

Seriously though.....look at the clip of him.
He’s starting to forget himself and deliberately messed his hair up as he walked on stage rather than do it beforehand. The mask is slipping,

Well its our biggest fear that things get worse instead of improving, and to be fair I find it difficult to trust right wing politics for all the right reasons.

These days there are too many of us to deal with if they want to walk and live amongst us. Its within their interest.

Was never gonna happen. The EU hold ALL the cards.
The fact that fishing, which contibutes little to the UK GDP, is a major sticking point shows just how pathetic the whole process is.

Once after we've left the EU have unfettered control over EU financial regulation they will decimate the square mile.
Nearly 25% of UK GDP gone at a stroke and we will have zero influence over it.
25% that can never be remotely replaced by these mythical free trade deals with the rest of the world.

I'm still astonished that it's come to this. :(
Hopefully the next generation will put things right.

It isn't "holding a different opinion" it's making some asinine and nonsensical "link" to historical events to somehow justify the clusterflock that is brexit.

I guarantee you can't give me a sane reason why brexit is a good idea. Well I have had decent reasons for Brexit but not one which will offset the financial hardship, restrictions of movement, cost of implementation and weakening of the UK that Brexit is bringing

With a strong government, who are forward thinking, extremely capable and put the good of its citizens first and foremost then we've every chance.......

Ah, were buggered aren't we?
