Reality check: although the dumping of fish due to quotas used to happen, it is now illegal in EU law. A good example of the EU seeing an unintended consequence to a law designed to make things fair, and then fixing that consequence.

(Reuters) - British ministers have warned supermarkets to stockpile food amid possibilities of a no-deal Brexit, with shortages feared as talks with the European Union remain deadlocked, The Sunday Times newspaper reported bit.ly/2W9lP3J.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to take control of planning if Britain opts for no deal and will chair an exit operations committee to prepare the response, the newspaper reported.

Ministers have told suppliers of medicines, medical devices and vaccines to stockpile six weeks’ worth at secure locations in the United Kingdom, the report added.
 
If Britain opts for a no deal? That article in one line makes it sound like Johnson is deciding between peanut butter and marmalade.

If this government pushes ahead without a deal and it results in food shortages if they are not forced into the political wilderness for decades I am going to stop voting. Surely this level of ineptitude that forces that levelling of suffering on the electorate cannot go unpunished
 
Just seen Ed Miliband on Marr. Why on earth did Labour put him up for interview. He was almost hysterical and basically said nothing. He is a liability as we know from his previous disastrous leadership

I'm genuinely going o try and convince the missus to leave this country. Theres nothing here for me now. The fact so many of you support brexit and have no idea why is just so depressing. On entire country regressed to a poor, isolated state all based on ignorance and misguided jingoism

In the interest of balance I should add to my previous post that I found Raab as clueless as Miliband. They sum up the dearth of competent politicians on both sides.
 
I hold no torch for either of the two main parties nor do I seek to defend them. The fact I support Brexit has nothing to do with my politics.
