Not them to cause trouble even though it's being brewing all week.
Fair play to Tav, you just know if he had moved his head towards Lawrence he would have been straight down on the ground with a red card for Tav. Horrible playerHe grabbed at Tav and yanked him just before the box. That was a yellow for a deliberate foul. Then Lawrence violently shoved Tav twice who did well not to react, then Lawrence put his head into Tavs. It wasn't a full headbutt, but, it was an act of violence and in the letter of the law a red. Remember Aliadieres red all those years ago, that's all it takes for it to be a red.
We really should ignore lessons on how to get beat four one. They were giving us a footballing lesson up until 2-1
Dean was stood right in front of the melee that broke out which ended up with Howson being grabbed by the throat, his was reaction was to just stand there with hands on hips as if he was annoyed by it. Didn’t make any effort to try and split it up.Mike Dean got it spot on. It was a little late but wasn’t a red. That’s why Dean was given the game, it needed an experienced ref.
As I said on another thread, there was no mention of Lawrence trying to head but Tav, or Bielek with his hands around Howson’s throat.
If you believe Derby fans, Crooks was offside for the goal, the referee broke up a clear Derby attack when he collided with their player and our team was full of "thugs" who bullied them to win the game. There is only one person's decision that counts and that is the referees and as Uncle_Rico said, the ref thought it was a yellow.
It is no good bleating about it, they need to move and concentrate on beating Peterborough next Saturday.
Don't forget that Mike Dean was appointed by the EFL/Gibson to make sure that Derby got nothing from the game.If you believe Derby fans, Crooks was offside for the goal, the referee broke up a clear Derby attack when he collided with their player and our team was full of "thugs" who bullied them to win the game.
I'm wondering what game they were at yesterday because it certainly wasn't the one I watched!
Absolutely. Derby have just been put right back into the 'insignificant box' for us.It’s time to forget Derby, the legal dispute is over, we won the grudge match, we’ve got bigger things to focus on, move on.
I think it's because Gibson was the one who pushed for the rules to actually be applied to them. They've had it in for Gibson since then. I remember when it initially looked like they'd got away with it they were gloating about how it was just sour grapes and he was a "tinpot" chairman.Out of interest, are Wycome getting the pelters from the Derby fans like Boro have, given their claim remains unsettled.
It always struck me as a bit odd that Boro seemed to be their sole focus, when in fact Wycome also have a similar claim.
I can only assume their focus was directed at Boro because they see us as a direct competitor and that has aggravated the situation?
Even though Boro settled the issue, the fact it remains private will irk them too as now it gives the impression Morris has paid compensation in some way, leaving an air that is smelling of additional guilt, they can’t continue their vendetta that their plight being all Gibson’s fault without looking even dafter, although they will.Out of interest, are Wycome getting the pelters from the Derby fans like Boro have, given their claim remains unsettled.
